Starmada Game 3 – Battle Report

Kosmoflot started by moving up their Harris team, free Bearpode, and Bounty Hunter up some under the cover of smoke. The Kosmosolldat shifted back to better cover and range. Then the controller turned her Bearpode loose. It made its way under the cover of smoke to get to Casanova, dodging shock mines and a nanopulsar. The two faced off and the Bearpode struck but Casanova’s tailored suit brushed the hit partially off of his shoulder (brush, brush) and he would have entered No Wound Incapacitation but Saladin wanted to help by trying to shooting into combat and hit Casanova in the back instead. At least the nearby prone Kappa Hacker managed to Spotlight the Bearpode for retribution.

We dropped some missiles on the targeted bearpode. Our bounty hunter killed their bounty hunter. The Varangian moved up far unnecesarily under the cover of smoke. The Core team moved to position themselves centrally.

On turn 2, the 112 moved up on his vespa. The Harris team moved to try and flank my Core team next turn. And their Core team moved into position to take a shot on my Bronze which bounced. The Kosmosoldat took up position to watch his side of the board after trading shots with a Nyoka and their Heavy Rocket Launcher.

On my turn the hot-tempered Varangian moved closer under the cover of smoke to be able to hide until next turn. Having a stupid but cool idea, the Kappa Hacker decided to try and run across the width of the board and spotlinght Kosmoflot’s Harris team so the Miilicent could drop a missile on them. His plan was delayed after being shot by the Kosmosoldat’s heavy machine gun. With a sigh, Parvati moved her Yudbot to allow her to fix his dumb self up. Coordinating, the Varangian better hid, Saladin slid over to cover a passageway, the yudbot moved to the base of the building my Core fireteam were positioned on, and the Kappa Hacker continued moving to get there. On the last order he was able to move close enough to try a Spotlight but the Frontovik reset. Thus ended the second round.

This turn the 112 was able to move through smoke to revive the fallen bearpode. Then both moved to cover. The Harris team had their Scot Guard take a shot at the Bronze with a missile launcher but was taken down by the Bronze. Then the Volkolak and the Bronze traded shots a few times with the Bronze losing a wound.

In the final round, the Varangian ended up glued in place while on hs way to kill the Kosmosoldat. Elsewhere, the Bounty Hunter shot at the 112 and revived bearpode and managed to put it down again. And, lastly, the Kappa Hacker ran about Spotlighting for the Millicent Copperbot to drop missles, taking out 4 more members of the Kosmoflot team.
