Durgama Takeover

Top of Round 1
No matter when, no matter where… Casanova is on Tommy’s List. Back in the day when we were still in school, a friend of mine had a big brother named Tommy. Tommy didn’t take any crap from anyone, and he didn’t take kindly to anyone messing with his little sister or giving her grief. Anyone who caused trouble with Tommy’s family got on Tommy’s List, and people on Tommy’s List had unfortunate encounters that made them rethink their actions.

It took nearly every order we had, but that Polaris did his job. He came through for Tommy. He came through for Ariadna. It helped that Saladin tried to shoot him and hit Casanova instead, but I’ll call it luck and laugh while the Bearpode licks the blood from his hammer.

Bottom of Round 1
Well, we knew it was coming: missiles rained down on the Polaris like fire from the heavens, from the other side of the field. He’s a fine red mist now. Was it worth it? Hell yes.

O-12 did a lot of moving around. Not sure what they’re up to over there. We’re ready for them. Our remaining Bearpode popped smoke right before the Bounty Hunter went dark so that’s not a good sign.
Our Bounty Hunter had managed to get into position at the start of the first round, but he got taken out by his O-12 counterpart’s Breaker Pistol and took a little nap.

Have you seen how a Bearpode chucks a grenade? Ours pull the pin with their teeth, toss the grenade in the air, and then smack it hard with one paw in the direction they want it to go. They’re pretty accurate.

Top of Round 2
All we did was shift around. Very little interaction, but we learned that our Doctor is a crap shot with a grenade launcher, so our remaining Bearpode is still unconscious.

Bottom of Round 2
We managed to take out a Kappa at long range, but their Doctor fixed them up. That Parvati is some serious business, but at least they had to spend some time getting that medkit over there.

They tried to spotlight our Haris team, but apparently our paramedic has a clue about that stuff and was able to reset. Overall, it was a frustrating round for both sides with lots of movement but no measurable progress.

Top of Round 3
I took a shot at Saladin across the field and hit him, but the son of a gun sucked it up and dropped prone so no more chances on him unless he stands up and does something stupid. At least the Polaris’ Controller moved up to support in case the Varangian on the rooftop across the way decides to come this direction.

Got the Bearpode up again and he moved back, but not far enough. He’ll likely get shot to bits before it’s all over. Launched missiles on the rooftop which was a waste of time and resulted in the Scots Guard getting splattered all over the rest of his team.

Then it was several exchanges of fire between the Volkolak and O-12’s The Bronze, to basically no effect at all. We got one wound on him but it wasn’t enough.

Bottom of Round 3
The Varangian hunkered down right where he was and didn’t try to come any closer, which was probably a smart move on his part since we have that side pretty well covered. He eventually popped his head up again and we threw everything we had at him but he eluded it all—he even slipped out of the adhesive. Rinse and repeat, and again everything missed except the adhesive, which finally managed to stick him in place. Score one for Ariadna? Sure, we’ll count it.

On the other side, that damned ‘bot of Parvati’s bandaged up The Bronze, but he wasn’t going down anyway so that piece didn’t make much of a difference. They took out our entire Haris team

All in all, a frustrating night for Ariadna. Half our team done for. We’ll go home and lick our wounds and come back for more another time. Maybe.
