Durgama Takeover

Xiu called in Ai Yang to the makeshift command post. There was no underhanded tactics with this fight, it would be a formed military operation, with the Azure Dragons being brought into Camelaird to relieve another YJ formation that had secured the outer defensive guard post. After a week defending the Neosteelworks and some time aboard the Raveneye ship, it was finally time to unleash the troops for an assault. She knew there were likely still formations of knights inside the Reliquary and that this would not be easy, however they had battled Pan Oceania on and off for three years, including on the most recent campaign to Epico and trusted her reconnaissance troops and more importantly their commander.

Yang reported, “Ma’am, the Guilang are in position, we will shut their infantry down before they get started. Zhao will take point with his HMG and clear a path. Once we get inside our chief engineer will blow the antennae and remove the last layer of defense…”

She was interrupted by a loud thump and the crash of loose rocks from the castle monastery; looking up she saw what looked like a Pan Oceania design.

Xiu exclaimed, “Oh shhh… its a Sereph, get to your trenches!”

T1 PanO - The Sereph makes a run down the flank and makes a play to send its Aux bot forward to take out the repeater, however the Hundun reveals and removes the bot and splashes onto the Sereph which saves. The Sereph sends some orders to take out the repeater and Beasthunter, who is unconscious next to the AC2. The big PanO link takes aim and drops the Hundun with two well placed missiles. The EVO bot puts assisted fire on the TR bot.

T1 YJ - The monk haris moves up the field releasing several smoke grenades to hide from the TR bot and Teutonic missile launcher. They make it to the Santiago KHD, but one of them gets picked off by a pistol shot from the ML Teutonic Knight and the Santiago removes the other. However Laing Kai with B3, explosive CCW, puts nine wounds into the knight removing him. The guilang on the right, moves to within 8” of the Sereph and drops a second repeater. The Zhanshi hacker then isolates the TAG with the oblivion program.

T2 PanO - The trinitarian reveals and removes the repeater locking the Sereph down but is spot-lighted in return. An engineer helper bot runs up and removes the isolated state from the TAG. The TAG then lights up the Guilang, dropping it instantly. The big link moves forward to pressure the left flank but unfortunately strays too close to a repeater and the ML Teutonic gets isolated, breaking the link. The rear Teutonic moves to the rear into total cover.

T2 YJ - The Shang-Ji engages the flash pulse bot and drops it. He then moves up the board and takes a leap of faith, engaging the TR bot and is able to remove it in two orders. The Shang-Ji then takes aim at the broken link, killing the two crozier and proceeds to go after the ML Knight who is immobilized through carbonite. At this point the Shang-Ji can see the Sereph (at 28”) and begins to engage to little effect. The Teutonic Knight then proceeds to roll a critical on it’s WIP check and resets out of the negative states..however it is short lived as the Shang-Ji puts them down. The Shang-Ji, who had already put one wound into the Sereph takes one last burst with the last order and causes four wounds, removing the TAG from the board.

T3 PanO - With a reduced pool, the Trinitarian makes a last dash at the AC2 getting discovered by a revealing Guilang. It then moves into the AC2 triggering an AP mine, Guilang boarding shotgun and a heavy flamethrower. The Trinitarian makes the save against the heavy flamethrower, the BSG template, but goes down to the mine. The AC2 makes all three saves against the D-Charge. The helper bot runs up to the panoply and pulls out a multisniper rifle (lol).

T3 YJ - The big link, makes a wip+3 roll for a classified and picks up a panoply HMG, before moving forward and taking out the enemy engineer and Raveneye officer. The Shang-Ji then runs into the two mines and is isolated. Chief Jeong then moves in and sets the D-Charge, removing two structure points from the PanO AC2.

YJ win 6-1.

In the end, the battle had looked good on paper, but had been far from an easy victory. The Sereph had almost come through the command tent, a Trinitarian almost blew up the relay antennae establishing all of their communications and Zhao was in need of significant medical aid. However, the Military Orders had been pushed back and were conducting a fighting withdrawal to the drop ships. The secrets of this base were now ours alone, Xiu thought, releasing a rare smile then unnerved her lieutenants.
