Tunguskan dropship was nearing the Nomad distress signal near the Zebu Research center. The signal was suggesting an outbreak of an unknown virus in the facility, and a limited insertion team was scrambled from a nearby Tunguska frigate. As they were nearing the landing area, an 0-12 officer hailed the dropship on an open channel.
"There's no time for bureaucracy right now - we don't have a single second to lose. Take us in and on the ground" - ordered the Kirza Borac who was leading the team.

Both of the Tunguskan fireteams that have landed in the Dropship pushed forward around the building that was providing cover for their landing area. There was no resistance on the left side, however, the right side was being watched over by the Peeker remote and the Epsilon sniper. Under the cover of Perseus' smoke, the Hollowman core was able to sneak into the safe zone and setup a perimeter around the HVT that has sent the distress signal. It took most of the tactical bandwidth to get this coordinated, and the Hecklers didn't receive good directions to get out of their starting position. When a wave of the Virus has rolled in, even their upgraded suits were no match to it, and they fell unconscious under the strain.

0-12, in the meantime, was not standing idly by. For some reason they decided to intervene with the Tunguskan rescue efforts instead of assisting them. The smaller of the fireteams has started moving down the Nomads' right flank and have hidden themselves behind the building there, biding their time.

0-12 skulking behind the building

The main Starmada attack force, led by the Hector L-Host, has pushed forward on the left. Now it all made sense. Aleph would not pass up an opportunity to harm Nomads, and the Hector most likely took over the command of the local 0-12 forces.
A Betatrooper in the team has taken point and turned the corner, hitting the tightly grouped Tunguskans with multiple Nanopulser shots. Through a combination of deft dodges and good BTS defence, the damage was mitigated as much as it could, given the circumstance, although one of the Cheerkillers was now on the ground, unconscious.

Betatrooper fires his Nanopulser

Reacting to the continuous onslaught from the 0-12 machine, Perseus drops a smoke grenade to try and hopefully save the Nomads form the Plasma Rifle in Hector's hands, while the Cheerkiller dodges into close combat with the Betatrooper to try and wrestle away its Nanopulser.

A valiant effort from the Tunguskan Cheerkiller.

Hector comes charging in himself, exploding the Cheerkiller into a fine mist with his close combat weapon. Truly, Aleph spares no expense when it comes to its enforcers and the attempts to mess with the Nomads in any way possible.

Hector charges into the fray

Not being tied up in close combat any longer, the Aleph led team takes more shots into the Tunguskan fireteam, while Perseus fails to act in response. Quite possibly, there are still some deep rooted friend/foe routines that are riddling his brain. Hollowmen burn in the Plasma fire, with the Missile Launcher one dropping uncoscious and Spitfire taking a wound. Boarding Shotgun Hollowman, however, manages to return fire even amidst the fire, and deals two wounds that would incapacitate any other enemy, but the Aleph L-host just shrugs it off and takes cover.

Aftermath of the Plasma Rifle fire.

Perseus, having finally regained some sense of composure, charges into close combat with Hector. The battle is over in a flash, and Perseus is disintegrated by the explosive weapon, hopefully leaving a cube that can be extracted. The Betatrooper does not relent, and keeps firing its Nanopulser into the group, dropping all of the remaining Hollowmen into disconnected state, until Kriza Borac manages to put it down. Taking a couple of ineffective shots against Aleph hiding behind a supply crate, he drops into Suppressive fire mode.

Kriza atttempting to defend the HVT against overwhelming odds

A fierce firefight breaks out between Hector, who's determined to take out the last of Tunguskans and Kriza. Finally, an armor piercing bullet from Kriza's SMG finds a vital spot in the Aleph host, and it falls limply to the ground. However, the other squad that was laying in wait this entire time rounds the corner and glues him down in his position, ending the struggle.
