Durgama Takeover

A Nomad landing craft was nearing the Zebu Research Facility, which was currently experiencing a leak of a poorly-understood pathogen. All attempts to communicate with the vessel were thwarted by the apparent damage done to the craft. A rescue team was dispatched lead by Hector with a team of recovering Starmada troopers to save weary travelers before they succumbed to the deadly pathogen. We are sorry to report that they took this as a hostile action, and immediately opened fire on our approaching troops.

Nomads from the Tunguska Mothership were attempting to remove our forces from the biohazard area near Zebu station. Thankfully, the assembled Starmada troopers in the area we well equipped to handle these ornery people from the stars.

NomadTurn 1:

The noble O-12 forces took position behind buildings to evaluate where the enemy was going to position itself with a few heavy weapons poking out to slow down their progress before the biotechvore managed to nip at their heels. The nomads were made up of two fireteams heavily favoring one side with two camo tokens on the other. The entire turn was spent with the two fireteams carefully moving to the middle of the table to attempt to establish a perimeter while avoiding all of the overwatching O-12 guns. Perseus would use a smoke-dodge to block any incoming fire from the Peeler TR bot. The teams were position in such a way that his entire force was concentrated in a tiny area that was just begging for a template.

The poor camo tokens would succumb to the virus as they didn't manage to escape its wrath.

O-12 turn 1:

Starmada forces responded by moving forward and getting the multirifle beta in position to fire with is very well-loaded nanopulser. The Betratrooper gets into position and unleashes a big 3 template attack hitting a very sizeable chunk of the packed troopers and only manages to barely put down the cheerkiller in the party. Katherine Cho, disguised as a Bronze, moves along the edge of the board to get past the midline, to be setup for a classified later. The beta once again attempts to injure the Nomad block party, but either misses due to dodges or the BTS armor saves their lives. Perseus manages to place down smoke while the cheerkiller runs into base contact with the beta.

Tiring of this trivial matter, Hector rushes forward and slices the cheerkiller in half. He moves to the edge of the smoke and fires his plasma rifle into the middle of the Nomad ball, and only manages to put down the 1 hallowman and put a single structure on the other Hallowman. In response the targeted Hallowman injuries him twice with his shotgun. The beta moves into position to ARO as many times as his thick body will allow before he goes down.

Nomad Turn 2:

Regaining the initiative, Perseus charges forward in an attempt to remove Hector. Hector manages to get the upper hand and cuts him down with contemptuous ease. The Beta uses his nanopulsar on Perseus as he changes in and manages to put the other Hallowman down. The Kriza and Hector start a very long gunfight that goes into both players turns, that eventually sees Hector go down to continued suppression fire from the Kriza.

O-12 turn 2:

The Bluecoat in his security fireteam would approach the Kriza and manage to cement him with his heavy riotstopper in the hope that he could be put down by Hector that would die later this turn. The game was called at this point due to the Nomads only have 1 model, and the O-12 forces not want to push into the Kriza due to it already maintaining a good lead in points.

After-Battle Thoughts

Very enjoyable game against a very enjoyable opponent. We talked about it after, and Biotechvore is just a very tough scenario even if you are prepared for it.
