This one was harsh, but a very exciting draw! Now that we've opened up to three hundred points, my side is feeling much, much better. I'm no longer feeling stifled at being stuck with just one or two people or a single fireteam - now I can have, like, three or four!

This battle did, however, feature a slight bit of embarrassment as I had completely forgotten that Coordinated Orders were a thing. In my defense, it's been two years since I've had enough toy soldiers on the board to coordinate!

Just look at them all!
We were briefly joined by a blurry boy.
Atalanta had a commanding view straight across the map that turned out not to matter that much. Both my Netrods failed their rolls and bounced back to the edge of the table, in a scenario where being on the edge of the table kills you. Still, I am infinitely happier with this than with the old way, where I'd roll as I usually do and lose three orders off the hop.
We start strong, with Achilles delivering a firm panzerfausting to their frankly terrifying missile overwatch.

Most of what was on the other side were some Khawarij who were tucked away out of Achilles/Atalanta range. Achilles and the Asura rolled on into the objective building, where I fretted over the absolute lack of cover.

Here come Drs Uzi and Shotgun. They abandon their Nazmats to the biotechvore and book it towards the middle.
And here comes the actual attack. Aren't these guys -supposed- to just be, like, emergency first responders? I guess Achilles is an emergency.

There followed a lot of shooting. When the dice settled from rolling, Achilles was on the ground unconscious, depriving me of a precious point at the end of the round. On the plus side, one of the Netrods managed to stay upright in the biotechvore!

Oh okay HERE'S some cover in there! Currently being enjoyed by someone who can't get cover.
Hypatia the Sophotect to the rescue! Her nomen's an omen.
Dr Uzi came up behind her with his own namesake. If that's hard to read in the photo - they're certainly hard to read in person - her saving throws were 20, 20, 16, and 2.
The Khawarij move in. The dice are very firmly on their side. Asura, Achilles, and Penthesilea all go down. My Deva is bringing her Devabot flamethrower around the side - surely that will clear them out?
Following some coordinated orders to move up that I TOTALLY MADE BECAUSE I KNOW HOW THE GAME WORKS the Deva and her Bot unleash several orders' worth of Hell, which drops all of two (2) Khawarij.
One of the Khawarij charges Atalanta, who is surprisingly competent in that situation but not Khawarij-level competent. At this point thepoorman thought through the scoring and realised that if he tried to push for a win, a bad roll on his part would hand me the game. And so, draw! Slightly odd that this scenario comes down to people brawling in a blank empty room, but it is what it is.
