For today, another go at using a fireteam! I'm kind of finding it has the same limitation as relying on single big units, only they go down in an instant under -template- weapons and not -just any- weapon. It's something that I'll be trying to lean on more in the future, though. The game otherwise went against me due to my not paying attention to thepoorman's deployment, and also a remarkably selfish HVT who didn't want to just jump to Maya and write off the LHost and so wouldn't let us do war crimes.

He's very serious about keeping confidential information confidential.
There's an Apsara tucked away in a corner boosting that Dakini, and a Deva Hacker off to the side out of frame.
Their deployment. Pay close attention! 'Cause I sure didn't.

I didn't manage a decent photo, but there was a missile-packing Ghulam looking right down at the Dakini squad as we began my first turn. A boosted Dakini in a heavy fireteam should be able to outshoot her, right? Right! It only took like three orders, but down she went in such a way that she wouldn't be getting up again.

The next order of business was that robot with Total Reaction over there, which -also- took a lot of orders!
With my last order, the Dakinis got into a bit of cover while moving up; Dakini Wivva Grenade Launcher should've been able to deal with the rest of the Ghulam fireteam. But they spread out, and one of them popped out with a flamethrower. They were knocked unconscious by return fire but the robot party was decisively over.
The close presence of a Nazmat got the flamethrowerer back on their feet and that was it for the paramedic Dakini. The rest of the turn was spent getting the fireteam up to that box what's next to my HVT and trying to get it open.
Hacker on the objective! He then ducked away where nobody on their side could possibly see him. Meanwhile, the Deva brought her Devabot round to give the ghulam a taste of their own medicine, where 'medicine' means 'napalm.'
Oh. That engineer that I completely forgot was there can see him just fine. Whoops!
The engineer stole the Supplies the hacker had and popped D-charges on a building for a classified objective. Meanwhile, my longed-for spite-flaming couldn't be accomplished because I'd put my HVT right next to the supply box, meaning thepoorman was - inadvertantly! - using him as a hostage.
At least my list was appreciated.
