Oof.
This could probably have gone better. I recognise, now, what a lousy opening I had in front of me, and the decisions I could have made better, and the role the dice played in all this, but dang if it doesn't hurt getting totally shot off the board while causing zero casualties back!
I started out by shoving the Dakini out in front of the real people. It scuttled forward as Cautious Movement, grabbed a box out from under the unsuspecting noses of the Haqqislamites, and scuttled right back, which I thought was a fine opening as I went to start moving up the Asura...
EXCEPT
We realised right then that Remotes like Dakini's can't -do- Cautious Movement. Whoops! We reset everything and started again. Now, had I been thinking, I would have done the same exact thing with the Sophotect.
I was not thinking.
The Dakini down, I had my Asura meander up the side of the board while blithely disregarding enemy fire, as one does when one is basically a Terminator. She exchanged some gunshots with the Kamil opposite, disabling it before settling in behind cover where she could see the supply boxes, which I thought would be quite clever.
I was still not thinking.
It must always be remembered, when fighting Haqqislam forces, that if you put something down but don't completely murder it off the board, then it will be right back up instantly. The Kamil got patched up by their engineer's Nazmat. Their fireteam moved out of cover and the Deva instantly shot their missile-launcher-bearer down, only for her to be fixed on the very next order. Her return fire was not pleasant.
10/10 – Cats =)
Those cats are becoming famous on the Infinity community.
The cat in the first picture is a mood. Another great report, Commander, keep up the excellent work!
If you wound a Haqqislam soldier you need to make sure that their corpse is pulped completely or they’re going to get back up.
