Callsign Jackalope report from Dancer squad
Time of incident 23:11

Lt. Bell of Dancer squad was approached by an Ariadna commander [REDACTED] and asked to participate in a field exercise.
The point of the exercise was anti-TAG training. As a gesture of goodwill Dancer was given the green light.

–Deployment–
Dancer took to the field going seeking to overwhelm the Ariadna forces with superior weight of fire and heavy armor.
satyr took the far flank backed up by Helot ‘Lucky’. Piper took the center with the grenade launcher to provide support fire with Machinist Bale.
Lt. Bell and his Kamau team took a defensive position of the right flank to cover the advance of the Squalos. A warcor was brought to the field to
record the training.

The Merovingian FRRM team set up in the building to over watch the central causeway with a Moblot HMG digging a foxhole behind a road barrier.
A couple of Zouave operators joined several Chasseur and Brigadier Bruant seeking to ambush the TAGs as they advanced up the field.

–First Contact–

Satyr advanced down the left flank encountering little resistance until trading a few rounds with the Moblot but backed up by the rest of the core team no lasting damage was inflicted. Piper moved to behind the central building and launched several grenades at the Moblot knocking it unconscious. Consolidating their positions Satyr and Piper began a suppressing fire of the general area. Lt. Bell made a note that Helot Lucky ‘wiggled’.

The Aridanas began their counter attack with Brigadier Bruant sneaking around Satyr’s position and attacking from a blind spot. Satyr received some internal damage. Satyr dispatched Bruant with it’s sidearm in the next exchange. The next layer of the defense sprung into action and a Zouave and Chassuer coordinated a strike against Satyr glueing it in place but the Zouave fell to another round from the Squalo’s multi-pistol.

–Pitched Combat–

With Satyr unable to move Machinist Bale moved to position to watch Piper’s flank. Bale’s palbot approached the glued TAG and sprayed it down with a solvent freeing Satyr. Piper launches grenades against the second Zouave and the Moblot only wounding the Moblot. Satyr is momentarily slowed by a zero gravity zone but dispatches the Chassuer with the adhesive launcher. Pushing further Satyr round the truck and guns down the second Zouave. The Helot moves to continue covering Satyr.

If this exercise has taught me anything it’s that Ariadna ability to teach Dog Warriors to parachute is terrifying. In an effort to end Satyr’s flanking maneuver Duroc from the Mirage-5 was called in. The beast charged Satyr but the smoke grenades Duroc was carrying must have been defective as they failed to activate. The Dog Warrior was undaunted and even after taking shots for Satyr and Lucky’s light rocket launcher was only lightly wounded. He closed the distance between Satyr and himself landing a heavy blow to the TAGs internals. Duroc’s second attack was halted when it took two more shots from Lucky’s rocket launcher knocking the beast unconscious. Margot the other half the Mirage Team entered the field from the other side and landed two grenades right at Machinist Bale’s feet. Bale is expected to make a full recovery.

–Settling Accounts–

Satyr delivers a quick coup de grace on Duroc then repositions in order to watch the remaining core team. Piper climbs the the second story of the building it’s been using as cover and triggers a mine but doesn’t receive any damage. Repositioning Piper spots a Chasseur on the other roof and takes them down with a burst from the multi-heavy machinegun. Lt. Bell orders his Kamau team to move up along with the warcor. Lucky moves up to the enemy’s deployment area to watch the other side of the wall from Satyr.

In a last attempt to dislodge the TAGs a Paracommando attacks Lucky’s position from the rear and downs the Helot. They them proceed to attack Satyr but the submachinegun isn’t strong enough to pierce the armor. Satyr turning to engage the new threat fails to notice the core team move from their cover and with a burst form their rifles Satyr goes offline. However, Piper still poses an issue as the exhausted FRRM forces have not damaged the second TAG. In one last attempt Margot and the remaining two Chasseurs unleash their flamethrowers and rifles into it but Piper shots them down one by one with only damage to it’s paint.

–After Action–

Further training is still required if they expect to be able to handle a Combined TAG.

Lt. Bell’s focus on combat let Satyr move into a exposed position and saw his only Machinist knocked unconscious.

While this might considered a victory by most standards it was pyrrhic considering the cost to their operational capacity.
