Durgama Takeover

It had gone wrong, all of it, so disastrously wrong. Captian Song Jiang looked down at her blood soaked hands, as she lay slumped against the facility walls, her boarding shotgun laying beside her. Its rounds had been spent, the barrel still warm from when she let the weapon bark her protests at her foe.

But where did it go wrong? Her vision was fading to black, she heard chatter in her coms, her right hand, her mowang was thundering down the hall at her, his spitfire roaring away at the vultures that had shot her.

Right, that is probably where it went wrong…she had gotten shot, and no few times either. Her gaze looking back down to her body, crumpled against the wall and bleeding out, a small pool around where she was leaned.

No…it probably went wrong before even that. High command wanted her and her right hand assigned to a diplomatic “photo op” mission. She was to take her two remotes and Mowang and join with an invincible fire team, one that had honest to god hero soldiers in it. And meet at some O-12 facility. She was to pick up some data packet from them and they were to puff out there chests and make a big show of solidarity against the alien threat.

But that is not what had happened.

She felt…weightless now. Oh, her Mowang had picked her up…she couldn’t hear much gunfire anymore, and her vision was getting darker…

—-After Action Report—-

Hostile forces identified as the Kosmoflot were waiting in ambush for the Invincible army at the Research station. The Stations alarms were triggered internally, but the Yu-Jing forces had no way of knowing, they were invited here after all.

(Round one)
Fire was exchanged and immediately the invincible army answered the call, spreading up to the facility to recon the situation. Hostile Ardianan infantry exchanged fire, and a few were put down. the Captain ordered collection of data on the consoles, and then a defensive formation. With two consoles plugged into and the data packets downloading, The combat group settled in.

The Ardiana forces attacked swiftly, but they were no match for the Invincible armies armor. Positions held for now. Captain ordered to hold our positions until they could figure out exactly what in the hells was happening.

(Round 2)

With The Ardiana forces not answering coms, and the stations alarms now blaring on the outside as well as the inside, The captain ordered us to Put down any hostile forces. Over the Tac Comm we could see the Mowang moving to put down another Ardiana infantry, before we heard the captain give a startled yelp over the comms. Some…Symbiotic organism attached itself to her, and…shortly another to our doctor. While the doc hunkered down to deal with if it was harmful or not that is when the Ardiana force surged forward, and all hell broke loose. Extreme fire was exchanged, and when it all settled…our Captain was laying out slumped against a wall and unconscious whilst one of the invincible had her armor ripped open by a shotgun that opened up on her over and over. We lost some ground on our left flank, but overall the Adriana forces suffered many more casualties.

(Round 3)

The Doctor was able to get her peripheral over to the Captain, get her back on her feet. The Invincible Sgt wanted to push their advantage on the right flank to clear out the nest of Ardianan soldiers there, but the Captain opted to Hold our left flank. The Mowang moved to take down the were wolf beast that had snuck past detection. The Rui Shi was rendered un-functional. But thats when the dastardly enemy struck the hardest. Swarming the left flank they almost struck the Captain down with a SAS in close quarters, but she had managed to back away, while some sniper was moving to optimal position the captain let her shotgun bark out, dropping two of the four enemy assailants, but thats when she was shot down…The alarms died out, The fighting came to a close as forces dug in and disengaged, Comms opened up….

—Later, in a medical ward—

A sharp gasp for air, broke through the liquid environment that was the healing pod, its top opened and Captain Jiang grasped the edges to steady herself. She was confused, unsure of where she was. Vision blurry and a hard ringing in her ears.

But it slowly was coming back to her. The firefight in unsuspected territory, her death. Ugh, this must be a new Lhost. Before she could even blink the blurry vision away a sharp voice behind her drummed out

“Report”

A soft sigh, as she slowly adjusted in her pod “….mission failure. Data packet obtained to an extent. but there shouldn’t have been any fighting, it should have been a photo op. I don’t know what happened”

A soft clicking of a pen sounded out, then scratching of writing

“…An unknown communication reached the facility, alerting them to a ‘hostile’ force coming to steal secret data. They responded in kind. Then some virus released some research specimens. High Command suspects Shavasti agents involvement, and we are currently working with 0-12 to remedy the situation. We consider this mission failed successfully Captain”

She lets out a breath she hadn’t realized she was holding in. her head bowed for a moment

“Get out, and get suited up Captain, we have more work to do. Be on command deck in ten”
