A severe miscalculation left my list without any way of dealing with MSV snipers instead I focused on camouflaged midfielders. This led to an inability to make it across the board and push buttons. What long-range firepower (HMG Q-Drones) I did bring could not contend with more dedicated shooters. Even when I did manage to crit on said sniper it was canceled by a crit on his end.

My first turn was kicked off by a horde of Taigha Creatures spriting and dodging bullets to engage the enemy, one even got close enough to threaten a dug in a fireteam. The other Shasvastii operatives either hugged the walls to avoid detection or got sniped through the saturation zone.

My opponent was able to move two of his units up to start pushing buttons and made ground up the board. Using his MSV his units were able to negate any mimetism that the Shasvastii had. The battle was a clear and decisive JSA victory.

Even in defeat, there are lessons to be learned. Always have a way to deal with snipers and bring the true long-range weapon in Shasvastii, the Speculo Killers.
