Following the training operations on the Raveneye our forces were rightly eager for some well deserved revenge, and to prove their value to our command.

Once again, our superior intel provided us the opportunity to arrive and take initiative from the enemy.

T1:

From the outset our Yuan Yuan auxiliaries once again controlled the flow of the battle, and eliminated enemy sightlines using their usual tactics. One attempted to aggressively push and eliminate the enemy’s back lines, though he met his end at the barrel of a Boarding Shotgun. Though he died in the process, the advantage was well worth their price. Using the cover provided by the Yuan Yuans, our Azra’il was able to choose his engagements, and selectively eliminate opponents. He was able to eliminate the opponent’s turret, and the most lethal member of their Puppetactica Company.

Fortunately our early strikes were enough to push our opponent on the back foot, and when the initiative shifted, we continued to strike the enemy with our overwatch.

The opponent’s Grenzer was able to eliminate our Ghulam Sniper with a Missile, unfortunately as we have well learned, very few operatives are able to resist high explosives. Our Azra’il was the next target of the Nomad Commander’s operations. Mary Problems, and Raoul Specter were able to team up in order to eliminate the Azra’il. Mary dropped a repeater nearby, and followed up with a Carbonite attack in order to freeze our Azra’il into inactivity. Raoul then followed this attack by closing with, and eliminating our Azra’il in hand to hand combat. This highlights a continuing problem with the Azra’il program. Capable armor, but a vulnerability to enemy quantronic capabilities. Fortunately, this focus distracted the Nomad forces from their main objectives, and enabled our own forces to follow up with lethal precision.

T2:

Our second Yuan Yuan was able to find and drop in on a good position due to the opposing commander’s overreach. The opponent’s reaction to this allowed our closer range troops to close with, and destroy the opposing troopers in short order. One of our Odalisques coordinated with an Al’Hawwa to move up to and engage with the closest available enemies. Through their move this put each trooper in a position to eliminate their targets. The Al’Hawwa was able to engage the perfidious Mary Problems with a Boarding Shotgun, and the Odalisque was able to stun Raoul Spector and remove him from the fight. Our second Al’Hawwa was able to move across the board, and eliminate the opponent’s Grenzer overwatch element. This freed up maneuver for the rest of our elements, and allowed the Al’Hawwa to accomplish two additional objectives.

Following this engagement, our opponent wisely decided not to challenge the capabilities of Haqqislam further.
