[CAP.GRADIUS] The search for Officer Verara is still ongoing, but we have located the trace of his emergency transponder. Obviously a covet is heading from Cameliard towards XianDao. The game takes place on Camilliard, and my Starmada unit is here to put the base defenses to the test. The list is composed of a security core for orders (and to guard my CoC). She will be supported by two modular Haris: Longarm/Psicop/Tian gou jammer in defense and Nyokia HRL/Epsilon HMG/Psi cop in assault. My G2 includes my Lt (o cap yes!) and a duo a bit difficult to manage for these scenarios. Good three Impact templates and chain rifles, everything should be fine!

[PER.CHEV ESPERANZA] Well you got all your orders? The objective is to occupy this hangar, and succeed in getting valuable elements out of it. If you have the possibility, also recover the sensors on one of the defenders. You are the tip of the assault armies, put their maximum pressure on them and let's see what these guards have in store!

I win the Lt roll (my Lt know everything about the facility ahah), and my opponant deploy in first on the red side of the board game. He deploy a core Witerfor Alpha with Orc HGM/Feurbarch, and 3 Varg maximum security team (HRL, FO, and sensor) on the left flank. With that we have a Fusilier Haris with Hawkins, and some support troop (fugazi, beast hunter, engineer and trauma doc), all in the center of the board.

I play a core of security, in front of his how core, with my LM Kappa who have a line of fire on it. In the middle a Haris missile launcher longarm, Tiangou "longarm camo" and a psi cop KHD. My Lt in the first line, with a Raveneye. And finally, Shona in Duo with a Varangian. Ok let's roll some dice !

Winterforce T1 :

Liang Kai use his impetuous order to move near the armory. My opponent actived his Haris to move in direction of the armory. Hawking try to open the door, but the opening protocol are two heavy for him (pano upgrade the security too much for this exercise). He goes to the right side of the armory to engage my Long arm Missile laucher, try to detect the mine, but fail. Ok first opposition of the game, Hawkins make two hit on the longarm, who fail his missile launcher shot. He died in the opposition.

Well the alien was not the best asset. Now free his core fireteam can move out his first position. With the orc Feurbarch he kill the Kytta. Before that his Varg HRL take an opposition, but the Kytta hit him, and the Kappa ML dodge the impact template. The Haris move back and take covert for the next turn. Liang Kai move with his last order in direction of my DZ, but the Kappa missile launcher end his run with two missile hit, just in front of the commissioner Anderson (show off).

Last order, the beast Hunter take a defensive position en deploy an AP mine. Ok My turn now, it's time to shine for Starmada.

Starmada T1 :

[PER.CHEV ESPERANZA] Team, we have suffered minimum Casualty, it's time for counter attack !
Sgt.Kowalsky, move forward and open this Armory ! I'm just behind you !

I active the most advanced raveneye to move in direction of the armory and open hit (because in Starmada, we have a lot of tools to open door, like a WIP 13 ahah). Then he deploy a mine in the room and go back in total cover. Ok that's done.

Now my duo Epsilon Nyokia move next the psi cop an team up in an a new Haris ! Then the nyokia use is climbing + skill to take position and shoot in the Alpha Winterfor fireteam. 3 units under the template, with is Lt. But I just made one hit on him and the orc feurbarch, all the other save. My Niokya stay in overwatch.

My Lt move in direction of the armory, use a speculative attack with E/M grenade against Hawkins. he fail his dodge, and save, and he his now, isolated and Immobilized.

He move into the armory, take an opposition against the feurbach and the K1 Varg but don't hurt them... But he is in the room, two point for Starmada.

Winterforce T2 :

Ok turn 2 of my opponent, his core his still under pressure (...That burns a building down...). He activate his Lt HMG to take an opposition with the Kappa ML, after move in a more safer position his core. The Kappa take two wound and die.

Then the Orc Feurbach move and take a shot against the Nyokia HRL, here again, two wound and Nyokia is down... My poor impact template. Now with more oxygene his core can go out is DZ. He move to take some opposition with my Santiago Lt, lose the first one but save. In the second round the Santigo fall unconscious.

The Varg sensor move to detect and destroy the mine. To finish he move to shoot my Raveneye. Then the G2 engineer move to repair the Hawkings stuff. Hawkings move in the armory and shoot the Santiago. Finally, the Varg throw a wild parrot in the room. Ooook deadly turn for my, but I still have my HMG !

Starmada T2 :

[SGT. KOWALSKY] Team, the Lt is down, but our chain of command is still here. I take the lead, I have an angle of attack...

And Sgt Kowalsky committed the game (in fact it's me, but you know the fluff...). I saw a line of fire to take down the Varg Sensor and break the FT. But I remember after 4 orders one little thing, a detail : we cannot draw LOF accross the armory, so my Epsilon can't see the Varg (ahah... ahah... damn). So in a despear run I go to kill the Beast hunter, but he can touch me with is Heavy Flamethrower, I fail the epsilon dodge and he died... Great turn. I could take this opposition in other way, but I focus on something, and it was a big mistake. To avoid a complete failure I move my "longarm" in a defensive position to prevent a very hard counterstrike. But know it will be very hard for me to counter attack. My opponent is in the room, two point for him.

Winterforce T3 :

My opponent try to engage the out cover Varangian, but he succeed his smoke dodge (good boy !). Then the HMG take a shot by an other angle, and the Varangian go dogged. Hawkings move to kill definitively the Varangian, but he save the two hit, and he approach too much the Tian gou. She used his Jammer, but fail her WIP roll (sadness). With the Tian gou revealed, the HMG move with the Varg sensor to take a shoot against her. But miracle (or YJ skill) the Tian gou throw a grenade, hit the HMG and the Varg. The Varg fail is save roll, but the HMG succeed...

Next opposition, the HMG fall back but kill the Tian Gou in the process. The HRL Varg move to take a shoot against the remain of my security core. The Raveneye and Kappa hacker failed there dodge and save roll. His Beast Hunter try to shoot twice on the Psicop to trigger a retreat !, but fail. Then he try to open panoply, but the security his too high for Pano (they lost the key of their own lockers ahah). Last order he move his Ft in defensive position into the armory.

Starmada T3 :

[COM.ANDERSON] Time is running out team, you have last minute to avoid a complete failure of the mission. Secure your ZD for extraction.

Ooook, 4 orders remains. The only thing I can do is prevent my opponent to "control" the commissioner Anderson. So the Psi cop activate, avoid a panzerfaust shot, go in cybermask, move in position and finally kill the beast hunter, in front of commissioner Anderson.

An alarm signal the end of exercise. It's debrief time !

5-2 for my opponent, I prevent the 6-2 by killing the beast hunter. Some dice roll really crazy (speculative fire on 5, grenade launch on 8). The start of the game was ok, thanks to my missile launcher. With reflexion, I could keep my Nyokia up in the first turn to prevent the advance of Hawkins and his team. I like my experimental list, I will play her again I guess !
