Well, we entered in a new step and the order from Yue Fei were quite clear and targets well defined. Obviously, the bow section of Raveneye wasn’t our top priority. As we say within the troops: “listen, wait and shut your mouth” – this is so wise finally.

Despite this, I decided to force the decision making system explaining that I was quite sure to have find a mean to break down the Tohaa army. I figured out thanks to some intel that they were looking for a rogue AI on Raveneye and it was the perfect pretext for me to convince internally to give me a small regiment for a revenge on the battlefield.

How stubborn I was! Thanks to my warfare experience and my new promotion since the last battle, it was politically subtil and smart to play it like this. I’ve ever been confortable doing internal politics, most of my partners have always been weak and full of fear. Not me. But now, I’m going to pay the price.

Anyway, I got the approval. I hired my former protégé who has been promoted Lieutenant among the famous Dayoing, a brave guy this WiFi, excellent hacker and he was the perfect to lead this Invicibles Army detachment… He said nothing when I ask him to accept this mission but he looked at me with anger, he was more than aware that this kind of mission is not fit for Invicibles especially in a such environment and such stakes related to rogue AI. Our job is to detect and destroy, no less no more. Hacking stuff and stealing data is not our best skill. But WiFi was ambitious and wanted to show himself that he can do it. And also, what a promotion he was expecting in case of success. To defeat the Tohaa is always much appreciated especially for what they are. Aliens which threatens the Yu Jing rising domination on the universe.

Having done that, the following step was obvious for me and my Lieutenant on the ground – my friend WiFi. Two Fireteams – one of Zuyong leaded by the great Krit Kokram; one of Shang Ji with the addition of two REMs, Rui Shi and a Paggoling. Last but not least, all the Mowangs being on other battlefields, like the parachutist, we decided to add a Yan Huo and a Chaokong. Good team, usually efficient and able to kill massively. Unfortunately, the willingness of revenge was to strong. Tohaa were used to be on such platforms to fight. They have been on the battlefield before us, hacking immediately a console and having the choice to locate the rogue AI within the easiest server to destroy for them.

We lost.

It has been a blood shower for everyone. We lost with honors but in Yu Jing there is no place for such posture. Classified objective and hacking console wasn’t enough. WiFi died hacking it, poor guy, we were well connected…

The focus of the High Command was on others battlefields so far. Yu Fei dislikes those who are not following the order, especially in such moment. The sanction is coming, inevitably.

My dear bot, in this fucking absurd universe, you have been my best friend… After the so-called trial, I will be executed in fornt of my former colleagues for treasonery, army felonry and warfare failure. No regrets on my side. I did it for the sake of Yu Jin, I missed but I know that many others will pursue the struggle.
