In a response to railgun hits impacting on the offensive operations planet side the EI dispatched a Shasvastii strike team to eliminate this threat. Led by a Mentor the team infiltrated towards the rail gun emplacement but were intercepted by a force of Nomads intent on protecting the abomination that was was AI’s hand of God.

Turn 1 – Nomads
The initial coordinated advances by the Jaguars Identified a suspicious presence and after repeated interrogations of the imagery the jaguars finally identified the elusive Speculo and an infernal Puppet Bot hosed her down with Red Fury. On the right flank the Malignos was spotted trying to evade detection but the subsequent hail of bullet missed their mark.

Turn 1 – Combine
On the left flank the Q-Done discovered the skulking Sombra the Nox Team then advanced to engage the Sombra who was supported by some unexpected hacker activity which was fended off but poor selection of the HMG resulted in the Sombra killing the Nox Team lead. Meanwhile the supporting Taigha was also picked off as it advance into the left quadrant.

Turn 1 Score: Combine 1 (Nox HMG, Taigha KIA), Nomads 1 (no loses)

Turn 2 Nomads
A flurry of coordinated moves and a host of smoke grenades preluded the Nomad advance and out of the smoke a high power shot takes down the Q-Drone (Intruder being obtrusive). At the same time the Evader takes down the exposed Gwailo with a multiple of shots and serious questions began to be asked about the maintenance of the Combine Armor, in response the Malignos chips the Evader armor.

Turn 2 Combine
On the right flank the Taigha pack rushes forward looking for lunch but are met with a hail of defensive fire and hidden mines and two go down, the remaining Taigha howls for its lost pack brothers. To support the rush the Seed-Soldier germinates from his Seed-embryo and opens fire on the baggage target whose armor appears to much better maintained. The Malignos manages a successful Data scan to complete the combine classified objective
Meanwhile on the left flack the Nox Fire Team and heavily engaged with both ballistic and Quantronic combat with the Nox Hacker fending of hacker assaults but is finally felled by the intruder (poor combine cant buy an armor save!!!!). The slave drone is able to repair the Q-Drone but there is nothing to see.

Turn 2 Score: Combine 1 (Nox hacker, Gwailo and 2 x Taigha KIA), Nomads 1 (no loses).

Turn 3 Nomads
The nomads emboldened by the success of turn 2 unleash on the hapless combine with aggressive smoke shrouded advances and fire from the intruder again knocking down the Q-Drone and advancing in the Combine left quadrant. At the same time the HVT is Spotlighted twice by Jazz via to achieve the Nomad Classified objective. On the left flank a Jaguar brazenly step up to the Nox and chain rifle the remaining two fire team members both who fail their dodges (19 & 18) and also the save rolls (3 & 6) (the dice gods dislike combine it would seem, or was is some nefarious AI interference) . Finally on the right flank the Securitate Lieutenant makes a guest appearance and take a half hearted shot to the bereaved Taigha.

Turn 3 Combine.
With little to gain but a little bit of dignity the Taigha throws itself at the Jaguar bait and has his face for a snack. On the left flank the slave Drone repairs the Q-Drone again and the Mentor makes a last gasp attempt for honor and takes out the Moria on the center. But to little to late.

Turn 3 Score – Combine 0 ( 2 x Nox, Taigha 3 KIA), Nomads 4 (Moria, Jaguar KIA).

Final Score Combine 3, Nomads 7 and the Hand of God continues to reach down and slap the combine forces.
