Emergency Turn Around

Saaaaaaluuuutations all you fancy fusiliers out there. Welcome to this special installment of the Ryan Report. Thanks to Supreme Commander Thannan for the assist in the last battle however, he did not come without additional purpose. He came to issue grave news that Cameliard is falling to the Yu Jing dogs of the state and we are immediately ordered to return to base to defend that base.

Cmdr Zarc wasted no time, returning all troops to the ship and setting course for Cameliard. It was then, to our surprise, it was not Yu Jing we found bombarding the base but a ship with multiple LARGE sets of "alien animal" skeletons adorned on it. In my years as a Warcor I only see that on Morat ships. Those damn dirty apes are trying to invade our base. Well time to break out the monkey repellant.

Turn 1: Well Hello There.

Turn 1 we saw the Morats gently prod at our defenses. One of their witch soldiers threw some smoke near our HVT to cover another team that moved up to scan her. Definitely a little more than handing over some papers. The team then moved back to secure better position in case I moved my Varg link up. Then, suddenly, *KRACK PEW", a laser sniper rifle shot rings from the other DZ and our ML Fusilier. On the other side it looked like a long haired chick (Oznat) with a gun was trying to walk two of her mutant dogs up the board and just hid behind the Oil Rig that was set up on the table. Then that nasty big brute with a big gun (Sogarat Fuerb) had to get in our way by covering the center line with their big gun.

My turn one started off with moving up the Knight haris to D-charge the sabotage mission. While moving up the Long-haired lady decided to make an appearance and the Karhu SHUT HUR DAHN! along with one of those mutant dogs. After that I was shuffling them around a bit to optimize who they were attacking like the Lt Sogorat. Who knew they had a ranking system!?
In an attempt to take out the Sogorat the Varg haris super jumped up the building and after one exchange the Sogorat decided to go prone and delay the inevitable. This allowed the Varg to move up and take shots at the witch soldier hanging out near our DZ. We made quick work of him and unfortunately had to end the turn there with both the K1 Markmanship Rifle Varg and HRL Varg looking directly at the 5 Man Yaogot/Vangard link.

Runnin up that road, pushin up to that objective.

Turn 2: Hold the LIne

Turn 2 started with his Haris attempting to throw some smoke in front of the Core link. However an unsccessful throw and a heavy rocket later and Anyat (the smoke thrower) was dead. Given no other option but to engage the Varg without any support the Yaogot took 4 shots at the HRL but the HRL was able to catch 3 of the morats under one of it's blast templates (including Yaogot) and not a single Morat survived. Now, going into more desperate options the 2nd Yaogot (originally in the haris) moves to the corner of a building to see the HRL and was able to unfortunately gun him down. Having dealt with the burst bonus threat of the Varg the Sogorat took out the K1 Varg with a couple well placed shots of the Feuerbach. Running low on orders, the Morats ordered their newest Hunter to start agitating the Knight haris. Nothing came of it but a long shot pitcher was shot near the link in hopes to slow them down further.

Pan O's second turn consisted of running up the two Nokken, one to try and Data Scan the enemy HVT (Did so unsuccessfully) and the other to take out their hacker in the back field. The second Nokken was able to move up and attempted to hack the enemy hacker but their cyberdefense was too good and didnt suffer any damage. So, if a battle of the brains won't work, how about a shotgun? In a last ditch effort (I only had 1 order left to spend on this) the Nokken moved up and blasted the hacker to dust and unfortunately fell unconscious himself in the process.
The karhu was able to sneak around the billboard and Retroengineer their HVT and flee back but not without getting targeted by a spotlight hack. After that the knights tried to engage the Sogorat and Hunter but nothing really came of it.

Turn 3: Last order...Survive

The Morats, now in desperation mode, made sure to curb stomp our Nokken to make sure he didn't datascan any HVTs. Then, out of no where, the other nokken got bum rushed by a Gaki and died. Then the Hunter, being the supremely annoying speedbump he is, dropped a couple of mines in case the Haris moves and then, with a new order, leans over and attempts to shoot both the knight and Karhu. In a stunning display of bravery the Karhu was able to take out the Hunter but died to the mines while the Knight doctor was able to dodge the mines but got a pistol shot into his armor.

Resources were dwindling but we still had hope. Our Pathfinder bot would be able to move up and scan their HVT from a distance with it's sensor. Everyone, that's EXACTLY what this CLUTCH bot did. Scanning the HVT and securing that win.

The Nokken's courageous push towards the Morat hacker.
