A probe with sensible information was shot down by an unidentified foe and was retrieved by Haqqislam forces. Tracking of the probe lead to the Hangar Area on Alfutna, so a mobile Corregidor taskforce was quickly deployed in order to retrieve the probe and the data it contained.

Eve though discretion was of the utmost importance, the Nomads found upon arrival that they were expected and were received with extreme prejudice. On this first assault, Reaktion and Transductor Zonds proved extremely useful in delaying and temporally incapacitating the enemy forces to minimize the damage and allow some space to the offensive team to operate. What the offensive team was not expecting was heavy panzerfaust fire, which limited the maneuverability of the Gecko Squad and took some effort to move around. Despite the excellent performance of the troops armor, they were finally outmaneuvered by the Haqqislam forces and slowly fell to their steady push. Luckily, Jazz was able to datascan some of the enemy troops and retrieve some intel.
During the fight, the Digger distinguished itself with daring valor and savage close combat encounters, threatening to thwart the enemy victory when it looked assured, but in the end he was disabled and the last chance of victory was cut short with him.

This operation was almost a complete failure, the enemy’s intel was accurate while ours was not and the valiant Corregidor troops were outsmarted by Haqqislam veterans. We hope the encryption on the probe holds back most of the data – it could affect the already unsteady alliance.
