Alguacil Lieutnant Jimenez reporting in.
Sadly I have to inform High Command about an incident that occured at Raveneye port battery involving a Yu Jing boarding party.
Seems like the Yu Jing troops were looking to collect some kind of beacon, counterespionage protocols should be updated.
During the incident a whole Evader Team guarding and maintening the battery waas completely wiped out.
Forces at place were´t able to prevent the invaders from taking that beacon.
detailed report further down

So, my first Battlereport coming in, if you got any advises how i could improve let me know.
I played against TJE who is a well known german player and a really nice guy. Games with him always end up being a hell lot of fun.
We played at Port battery, mission was capture and protect. He brought ISS and i played Corregidor, as i wanted to put in a bit of narrative i played an Evader Core team, which i imagined was kind of surprised by the Yu Jing secret police and grabbed the next available weapons to defend the site.

Pregame:
The Yu Jing forces won the roll for initiative, what already put me on the heels, as i desperately wanted to go first. Classified wise i picked up Sabotage, which was worth 2 points in this mission and TJE picked the coup de grace mission. For my Classified i chose the red box in the room near the middle.
TJE kept two models back and deployed first, covering both sides, the right one with a TR drone and the left with 4 kuang shi and an Hsien HMG. The Rui shi covered the middle. Later he put a Su Jian (which i expected) on his right side, and a Kanren with Holo projector at the middle.
I did a null deployment as i didn´t bring much AROs. Evader Core was at my right wing, ready to walk up the table and pick up that friggin beacon. McMurder planned to advance on the other wing, simply trying to cause havoc and distract. The Bandit was deploeyed near the middle line on the right wing. One Moran infiltrated in the room, getting ready to achieve my classified objective. As kept-back-model i placed a Moran on my left side to prevent the Su Jian from gettin too close.

First Turn ISS
The Kanren started advancing, tanking two Crazykoalas with his Holoechoes. He placed a Mad Trap in the room, next to my Moran, which was dodged succesfully. Unfortunately said Moran got shot two Orders later. Now i already had to improvise for my classified. But things would be getting worse. The Kanren advanced and placed a Mad Trap in front of my Evader link, so, as soon as they activated one of them would be glued. Luckily this enabled my Diablo to dodge into the Range of the Madtraps. On his right flank TJE decided the second Moran had to go. He chose the CSU as his tool for the task. With the 8-4 Movement she rolled with her Metachemistry roll, she should be fast enough. But first she shot little Billie. But that Moran wasn´t easy to remove. It took her 5 orders to get rid of him as he kept dodging nearly all of her shots. With his last orders, TJE moved the Kanren in base contact with the first Moran and did a coup de grace, fulfilling his classified.

First turn for Corregidor and my heart was screaming for vengeance. So in the impetous phase I moved the Diablo next to the Mad Trap. He took it like a man and got clued. But the Evader link was free to move. On the other side of the table the downfall of McMurdoch began. With his impetous order he started advancing towards the traitors. I managed to let him be seen by the Rui Shi, the TR drone and the CSU. My fault, i forgot about the MSV on the Rui Shi, so i tried to dodge, which he managed to do. But with his next move he got shot down as he started in the same firing lanes. Dammit! The Evaders had to save the day now. They started their advance towards the enemy deployment. They took down 4 Kuang Shi and the Kanren in the process, ended up in the room, ready to fulfill my classified next turn. Sadly, i was one order short, so iwasn´t able to hide them properly. The bandit used all of the orders of the second group, advancing and setting up a trap for the Hsien, as i expected him to try to deal with the Evaders.

Second Turn
The Rui Shi moved up the board, trying to flank the Evaders. It managed to get one of them with a Multi Rifle into its crosshairs. But Evaders are Corregidors Badasses and as such not easy to kill. The Rui Shi got taken down by the Aro. Light at the end of the tunnel! Then the Su Jian moved up the flank, eager to take revenge on the Evader with the Multi Rifle. The Evader decided to unload his Panzerfaust into this transforming beast, drunken by his victory over the drone toy. He got shot into pieces. Then thing came as they had to. The celestial guard placed a smoke template in front of the large door of the room, in which 4 Evaders were hiding and the Hsien moved up into firing position. The bandit, lurking inthe shadows, saw his chance and took a shot with his shotgun at the Hsien, surprisingly taking one wound of him. The Deva Killer Hacker noticed this and moved up, able to see the bandit. The choices the bandit had were odd, so he decided to give his life, placing a template at the Deva, who erased the bandits brain with a trinity and succeeded at the armor roll. Freed from any disturbances, the Hsien got rid of the Feuerbach and AP Spitfire Evaders, firing through the smoke. Good turn, TJE!

In my second turn, I was in retreat. I had a chance at winning the battle when I would manage to fulfill my claffified objective, as two Evaders with D-charges were in striking range to that damn red box. The first one died in ARO by the Hsien, so the second one had to try. He saddly had to move into LoF of the HSien with his first move and declared a dodge. If he would succeed, he would be hidden from that Hsien and able to place D-charges on the red box. He rolled the dodge and succeeded with a 12. The Hsien shot…Crit! Unnecessary to say i failed both Armor rolls. There went my last chance for victory. The battle ended with a 2-1 victory for TJE, as i retreated.

Bad day for the nomad nation, but I had a blast of a game. Playing TJE ist always fun and the game was exciting till the last roll. The final crit by the Hsien was filmlike and I´m not begrudging TJE for it.
