“This a transcript we have gotten from sector 4QFJ 12345 67890 the city , the communication device is traced back to one of our diplomats and her crew” Major Talib from the Sand Scorpions said. He continued: “We are the closest unit in proximity to give support and back-up will take too long”, I’ve already send the Tuareg Twins to scout ahead. There were some rumblings around the troops Talib spoke firmly “ We move in 10 people and not a minute longer!”

The troops started getting their equipment ready and a loud rumbling could be nearby. “Did you get that Maghariba back online Leila?” Talib asked. “I did my best to overwrite the internal warnings to keep it operational, but we need an engineer if we want to use it longer than just this mission” she replied. “We found an engineer, someone at the mercenary bar would send him to us” one of the troopers said. Talib replied: “Allah be praised, luck is on our side it seems”.

The engineer was seen approaching with caution as if something did not seem right. Once he was in range Talib could see why this person had chosen to walk with caution an uproar was starting in the ranks. “Traitor you have no place here” the soldier shouted and some them spat towards of the engineer. The scarred tattoo of the Sand Scorpions was visible on the engineer’s shoulder an indication that this person fled in the heat of battle when his/her comrades needed him the most. The engineer replied: “till this day I still feel shame for what I have done, but I was young and stupid and I am here to redeem myself from my curse”.

Talib considered his options and bellowed out “ Allah has send this with a mission and we are in need of an engineer, this has to be divine intervention” He continued: “ are we all without fault?” “No we are not, we are all struggling day to day to do the right and honorable thing” He closed with: “We all deserve and need a second chance, let him prove himself for now and should he flee again I will personally see to it that that will be hist last time”

He continued: “ok move out we have to get those diplomate out of there, be cautious for hostiles”. “barak allah fik” (God Bless you)

General overview:
Apologies the pictures are fewer and worse quality than I wanted to show you all we started later than planned and both had a rough week. I really struggle against Tohaa as my local opponent plays them really well and I feel they have a lot of tricks. I pushed my Nahab (rolled a 9 for Infiltration) ahead to try to provoke something with it but sadly I overlooked the Taqeul which was inside ZoC. I didn’t dare to do the same with both my Tuaregs so I hid them just outside of my deployment zone. You can find the movement in the pictures added to this report.

Turn 1:

Tohaa:

– My opponent starts with putting orders in the Taqeul to Endgame my Nahab
– He then pushes on my left flank with his IGAO to try to take out my Maghariba Guard
– I reveal my Tuareg Hacker and luckily take him out
– He then does the same with his Kerail and Symbiobeasts but has too few orders to reach the Guard but manages to take out my Tuareg Hacker.
– He pulls them back behind the building in front of the Maghariba Guard
– On the Right flank he starts puhing forward with his Taqeul, Makual and Sakiel.
– He takes out 1 Fanous but that is it.

Haqqislam:
– I try to force a breakthrough with the Maghariba Guard on my left flank and manage to take out the Kerail and Symbiobeasts (managed to take a wound from a Pulzar)
– I move my up Maghariba Guard to the left flank to get into a firefight with his Ectros (NCO)
– I fail horribly and only manage to take a wound myself for my troubles… (the dreaded 1…)

Turn 2:
Tohaa:

– My opponent starts with continuing the firefight between the Maghariba Guard and my face to face rolls are terrible ( I save a lot) but after 3-4 orders the Maghariba Guards fails 1 save (again that dreaded 1)… My opponent forgets to take the Maghariba Guard which will save me the game.
– On the right flank the Taqeul destroys my Warcors and Fanous and tries to push on
– He leaves me an opening and I reveal my Tuareg with Sniper Rifle to catch his Taquel ofguard I roll a 7 he is at -12 which leaves him on 1’s dice are rolled the Haqqislam players curses loudly and the Tuareg is no more.
– He puts everything prone to get into defensive positions.

Haqqislam:
– The once traiterours engineer now has his time to shine.
– He runs and dodges out of the line of fire of the Ectros (NCO).
– He runs in the direction of the Maghariba Guard I take a gamble as my order pool is depleted he fires his GizmoKit outside of 8 hits and….. it works the Maghariba Guard is back in action.
– As the is no party like a Maghariba party it’s time to get even and then some.
– The Maghariba Guard moves back down and takes out the Ectros (NCO) and the Taquel.

As weapon fire could be heard nearby the once traitorous engineer stood at the ready. “Maghariba is down”he heard via the communicator “We need that engineer now!”. He doubted fears of the past started to take over. Why was he doing this these people spat at him treated him like dirt. Why should he risk his life. The engineer then thought back at the words of Major Talib, everyone deserves a second chance. This was his time this was his chance and by Allah he would take it. With newfound strength the engineer rushed through the battlefield he saw that the Maghariba Guard was still under fire and could be taken out at any time. He aimed his Gizmokit at the TAG and prayed “Allah guide me” The TAG started rumbling again, the engineer could hear the joys of the Sand Scorpions via his communicator “that *!@&! did it, push on!”

Turn 3:
Tohaa:
– Was now on the backfoot his biggest pieces were taking out but he was not out.
– He used his Makauls to put Eclipse grenades out (and of course he crits…)
– He uses his Sakiel and takes 2 Civilains back to his deployment zone.
Haqqislam:
– Ok it is all or nothing.
– My plan is to use my core link to rush out take out his Sakiel and just synchronize 1 civilian to clinch it 1-0
– The Maghariba Guard takes out the Makauls that prevent my core fire team to move up.
– Dice are rolled and I take out the Sakiel with my Zhayedan sadly he gets taken out by the remainder of the Tohaa forces.
– My Ghulam Lieutenant tries to synchronise the civilain but I roll a 18….
– I use my Lieutenant order and manage to nail it.
– But I stumble into the ZoC of the Kaeltar with a bomb
– Dice are rolled…. And I crit
– I manage to clinch it with the last order…
