Deployment:
CJC wins the LT roll and I choose first turn.
I place Jaguars/Sr. Massacre and Jazz on my left, Vertigo Zond and Wildcat (Lt) in the middle, and Valerya, Billie and a Moran on my right. Other Moran goes forward on my left flank.
MajorDomo (TAK places) his Kazak core (with specialists and AP HMG) mostly on his left flank along with both Dog Warriors and an Irmandino. Voronin and the Frontoviks and the other Irmandino go on his right flank, and there’s a line of camo markers forward of his deployment zone.
Round 1(CJC) – I drop in my Hellcat2/ repeater in the middle of his Kazaks and spotlight as much as I can and rain down guided missiles with basically no effect (other than transmuting both his dogos)
Round 1 (TAK) – Domo rampages one transmuted Dog Warrior up my right flank and through my line taking a Moran, Valerya and Billie before finally being stopped before he could kill my Vertigo Zond. But I was forced to retreat my Wildcat Lt. too far (should have gone prone) and Domo’s Vet Kazak with AP HMG guns her down, putting my in LoL for round 2.
Round 2 (CJC) – trying to get some momentum (or slow his) I parachuted in my Gecko on Domo’s left flank (my right; yay, special rules) but his other Dog Warrior managed to tank every shot the Gecko fired, so most of the turn was wasted.
Round 2 (TAK) – Domo then flanked my flanker with a Spetz shotgun and killed my Gecko (I think I took out A Frontovik with him…). His invincible second Dog Warrior made a second run up my right flank, again only dying just before taking out my Veritgo Zond (that admittedly was tanking shots like a boss)
Round 3 (CJC) – my remaining Moran on my left flank manages a sacrifice FO on Domo’s Frontovik with HRL who his protecting Col. Voronin, which let me guided missile the Frontovik off the map. So rather than try to get my Gecko back, my Evader goes for the kill and comes on Domo’s right flank and takes out his Voronin/his Lt., but the Colonel’s buddy shoots the Evader with a T2 rifle in return, insta-killing him (not unexpected)
Round 3 (TAK) – Domo spends his last turn getting as many expensive units back on their feet as possible with his Paramedics (makes two… fails one?) which gives him a big points edge, making it…
8-4 to TAK
Note: the title comes from the fact that my Nomads list was supposed to be for Phase 1 in the Port Battery, which had the unlimited Disposable weapons rule, which is why I had some many panzerfausts, pitchers and crazy koalas in my list
