OST for the read

Imperial Hsien officer Huong Quo was having a break after 5 hours of intensive fights in the depth of Cameliard. She was waiting for her armour's checking routines to end, when her comlog drawed her attention. A message from HQ asked her to board in the first supply aircraft heading back to Xiängdäo.

The aircraft landed, and Huong Quo was about to get off her sit when a sas opened, a woman wearing a dark green heavy armour entrered and said "keep sitting princess, we're leaving" with a mocking tone. Huong Quo was about to reprimand her when her comlog and the ones of the other soldier still getting on board requiered them ll to enter autistic mode.

A couple hours later Huong Quo and her team were rushing, just above the surface of water, in the aircraft leading them to a new mission. A couple days after the empire forces breached the firsts doors of the reliquary, the Pan-oceanian HQ had established a floating military support base, trying to organise a massive counter-strike from this discret point. Fortunately the Morat forces had localised it, and while they decided to completely ignore it the report of its position to their commanders was intercepted by our intelligence services. Many squads were going to simultaneously attack the base on different points and sink it. Huong Quo's squad objective were simple:
1: once aboard capture and reconfigurte a communication beacon to send a maximum of intel about this new kind of structure structure.
2: locate and destroy a power source used to feed the stability & buoyancy system of the plateform.

Every members of the squad was absorbed, studying the tactical plan Huong Quo had approved, when their pilot called them. "Look at this" he just said. The Pan-Oceanian base was just there, and hell was on it as dozen of explosions occured just above its surface, a few ones even seemed to hit it. The bombing destined to cover their approach was in progress.
"Landing in 5-0-0" said the pilot. "Dices are thrown guys" said the green armoured lady, a member of the Dao-fei regiment, before she started the most sarcastic laugh Huong Quo had ever heard.

I won the initiative roll, and since my opponent had a core team with a kamau sniper i decided to go first and pick the weakest members of the team one by one as soon as possible.
I started with the monks, one used the cover of platforms on my right to advance, the second smoked an average shooting point where my HMG Hsien Lt quickly ran.

The Hsien managed to couch a fusillier with missile launcher and an Orco, reducing the team members to 3.

With the kamau deprived from the 6th sense ability, time came for the Hac-Tao with missile-launcher to finish things, unfortunately, the sniper succeded her shot, wounding my precious HI.
A couple orders later the Kamau and the fusiller behind her were killed, but The hac-Tao was sent inconscious by an Helot with light rocket launcher.

On his turn Pan-O player managed to get the fusillier with missile launcher and the Orco up, thanks to the unbelievable accuracy of his doc with a medikit.
Orco and Helot combined their efforts to kill the Hsien but she seemed to be unkillable.
A Montesa Knight on a jetsky was sent to get rid of her but he falled short, stuck between the Hsien, a Zhanshi with HMG and a shaolin throwing smoke on his way. Though with a nice long range shot of his shotgun he manage to outburst and send the poor Zhanshi unconscious.
So entered the cutter

The T-O monster joining the fight shaked the brave imperial troopers, and in a brave coordinated action the Hsien drawed the attention of the metal monster, sacrificing himself to the ennemy bullets while the Hac-Tao, freshly awaken by the good care of DR Daobu Hung, throwed a well placed missile to the beast, damaging it seriously, but it was still there.
Things became frightening for the squad when the damn helot sent down the Hac-Tao again. But it was counting without DR Daobu's skill, once again he healed our valliant elite soldier who throwed a couple of missile and finally deactivated the machine.

At this point of the battle the beacon was safe, transmiting a constant dataflow, but the power source was still under the ennemy control and they were trying a counter-strike.
Hidden by the station structure, an engineer sneacked trough to the cutter, the unusual dataflow from ennemy comms seems to indicate the repairs were extremelly difficult, but he succeded and the Cutter started moving again.
Facing a tempest of Armour-Piercing amno the Hac-Tao stood still and responded hard, her missile hitted a critical part of the TAG's energy cell who was blown away, killing the engineer in the process.
Profiting from the confusion a monk moved forward covering the unconscious Hsien with smoke, but dying in the process. Thanks to the smoke, DR Daobu sent his second Yao-Zao to the Lt and once again managed to heal her. She immediately stood up and kept back her firing position.

But suddenly the Montesa breached his way to our defensive line, the Daofei, who had remained hidden just below the Lt, finally revealed himself and tried to isolate the knight's coms systems, but the Montesa was faster and interrupted the hacking attempt with a shotgun bullet, a second bullet passed through the Hsien's armour, who falled unconscious again. No doubt the Fanatic zealot would have slain all of our brave soldiers if, this time, the Daofei hadn't been faster than the knight, whose armour's system weren't capable to handle the immobilisation routines sent by the hacker.

With their Lieutenant lost, the empire soldiers were confused, untill the second Shaolin everyone forgetted about, impetously sneaked his way next to the orco protecting the power-source, the HI soldier fired two rounds to the martial expert and smiled seeing the monk's flak jacket being shattered to pieces, but his smile vanished almost immediatelly when he realised the Shaolin was still rushing on him. ( OOC two DA rounds tanked with a quadruple 17, still can't believe it! ) The orco prepared himself for a hard Close-combat, but got puzzled when the monk stopped his advance and blinked to him. A loud noise resounded at his feets and smoke covered everythings around him.
That was the moment the Daofei was waiting for! She ran as fast as she could to the power-source and sticked a D-Charge on it. A single blow was enough to tear the device appart, and a brutal shake followed with a scary vibration over the whole station surface made it quite clear: the mission was a success, short for sure, but still a success
