Durgama Takeover

The Tunguskan Interventor that was tasked with confirming the state of the internal networks in the Port Battery of Raveneye sensed something unusual as he was running the routine checks. Instead of the expected Combined Army data signatures, there was something more familiar in the cyberspace here. Aleph! He swiftly ordered his supporting squad into a defensive position and prepared for battle against the Great Enemy

Leaving only the Grenzer sniper covering the firelanes, the rest of the Nomad forces hunkered down behind the racks of equipment scattered in the area. Aleph advanced under the cover of White Noise that has temporarily blinded the Grenzer keeping watch. Rudra remote, having pillaged the local ammunition supplies, was launching mines out of its dispensers as it moved forward. Boosted by the EVO support, the Rudra was able to wound the Grenzer. With nobody watching the area, the Asura that has been moving alongside the remote rummaged the nearby Panoply for supplies. Having done so, it has turned on the Cybermask and hid in the shadows. On the other flank, a group of Bounty Hunters has moved forward to relieve the other Panoply of its contents.

Raoul Spector, hired by Tunguska to keep watch on the area, has joined the fray, blind siding the Bounty Hunters too busy gawking at various weaponry they extracted from the nearby supplies. Dropping two of them with his boarding shotgun, he pulled back behind cover, taking out the Netrod that was dropped nearby. Not being able to resist the urge to help out, Asura dropped out of Cybermask and lit up Raoul with the Spotlight program.

With the Asura revealed, it was time to strike. Puppetmaster has urged his remotes into action - the one wielding the Red Fury moved forward and was working on removing the mines that Rudra has placed earlier. Suddenly, a hidden sniper has appeared in the rafters above and took a shot at it. Fortunately, the shot has missed, and the Puppet was able to clear the mine blocking the way. The Heckler that was hiding near the central Panoply advanced and launched a Fast Panda to get the Asura in the repeater range. Once it was in position, the other hidden Heckler launched a surprise hacking attack against the Aleph commander, and was able to do some damage to its processing circuits. Interventor, seeing the opportunity to help out the fellow Tunguskan, attempted to isolate the Asura from the Aleph quantronic network, and succeeded. After having done so, he turned his sights towards the Rudra, and isolated it as well. All of the sudden Asura reset its systems and linked up to its subordinates. Switching back to the original target, the Interventor attempted to cut if off again, but was knocked out by the Trinity program that was launched in return. Hollowman, hiding in the area, tried to fix the situation and moved forward, knocking out the Rudra guarding the Panoply, but getting damaged in return.

The Aleph commander, sensing the Killer Hacker Heckler that has wounder it earlier, went on the offensive. After a prolonged cyberspace battle, the Tunguskan hacker was knocked out. Taking matters into its own hands, Asura targetted the Hollowman with her Multi Rifle's AP rounds, and finished it off. Parvati, who was hiding near Rudra and Asura, has moved forward to fix and reconnect the remote, accomplishing the Test Run of her repair protocols. Now fully restored, Rudra launched more mines to halt the Nomad counter punch. Surviving Bounty Hunter turned around and tried to halt Raoul's advance with light flamethrower at the ready.

Having lost their Lieutenant, Tunguskan forces were in disarray. Usually operating solo, Raoul was used to this situation, and continued his advance in Aleph's back lines. Literally walking through fire, he took out the last Bounty Hunter, and sneaked forward to take out more enemies, but was stopped by a missile launched by the Samekh remote that was covering the back. Perseus, who was protecting the Interventor, seeing how his protege went unconscious, moved forward and setup smoke cover for the rest of the Nomads. Puppetmater used the cover to move its remotes forward, staying out of the Sniper and Missile Launcher fire.

Freshly repaired Rudra launched more mines to cover its teammates approach. Asura, feeling fairly safe in its advance, moved forward and accomplished more of its hidden objectives: Data Scanning the Heckler and Followed Up on the Tunguskan HVT hiding behind a bulkhead. On the other flank, a Garuda remote, late to the battle, but still trying to make an impact, took out one of the Nomads Transductor Zonds. Having accomplished its mission, Aleph forces have gone into standby mode.

Having somewhat regained composure after the loss of Lieutenant, Nomad forces realized that there is little chance of accomplishing the main objectives and holding back the advancing Aleph. Trying to get at least some measure of usefulness out of the whole situation, Puppetmaster signalled the Clockmaker and Perseus. Guiding the Red Fury bot, he took pot shots at the Post Human sniper hiding in the rafters. As expected, the volley was largely unsuccessful, and the Puppet was damaged in the crossfire. Perseus laid down additional smoke cover against the Aleph fire, taking a missile shot in the process, but shrugging it off with his advanced L-Host body. Clockmaker advanced, using smoke for cover, and Test Ran her repair procedures on the Puppet. Left with little time, Puppetmaster tried to test the telemetry device on the other one of his Puppets, but failed to get a target lock. As a side effect, though, he found out that his new Puppet is very resistant to the return Missile fire.
