Oh No Here Comes Achilles
300 POINTSSometimes it's nice to get away from the complexities and subtleties of special objectives - the tech-coffins and antennae and civilians, worrying about specialists and doctors and engineers and hackers - and just have a big ol' punch-up in the middle of the board. Fortunately, Yu Jing's area provides the opportunity to do just that. And while this did still technically cause yet another budget emergency with Achilles' LHost getting wrecked -again,- it technically went in our favour!
Razors_Edge opened strong, by combat-jumping a hacker in by Achilles and Carboniting him - hackers really being his Achilles' heel. The next bits were less strong as assorted gunfire bounced off Achilles' armour, so the hacker wandered off to kill one of my HVTs.
Another hacker dropped in to mess with the Asura and the Devabots. Unfortunately, this Asura is carrying a Killer Hacking Device.'So long, suckers!' Penthesilea revved up her motorcycle and created a huge cloud of smoke. When it dissipated, she was lying on the ground totally dead. Which is about how it usually goes for her. Meanwhile, Atalanta took a shot at someone and got knocked straight unconscious in ARO, which is how it usually goes for -her.- There followed some really ineffectual shooting.
Unfortunately, he got dropped and coup'd due to Razors_Edge being sick of his nonsense. While all this was going on, his lieutenant, Adil, was off to the side here. Our Sophotect got shot sprinting over to Atalanta to fix her, and she immediately put two bullets into Adil there and put him down. When the dust cleared, I somehow had the advantage in points!
