[RAMAH TASKFORCE COMMAND REPORT – HIGHLY CLASSIFIED – ALL SENSITIVE INFORMATION HAS BEEN REDACTED]

The following is a transcript from an interview with a Ghulam soldier involved in one of the Ramah Taskforce (RTF) teams tasked with destablising the ALEPH presence at Darpan.
He was discovered by RTF agents investigating a mysterious encrypted distress beacon in the vicinity near Darpan. He was exfiltrated to a secure location, where he is undergoing various assessments.
It is believed the rest of his squadron were either captured or KIA during the initial mission.

{BEGIN PLAYBACK}
” My name is [REDACTED]. My squad, [REDACTED], were charged with assisting an armoured incursion into the Darpan Xeno-Station three days ago and asked to [REDACTED].
I am all that’s left. The others were gunned down within minutes of us arriving at the facility.
We had recieved Intel that a Marut was on patrol in the near-by area, but our lieutenant believed we had enough firepower to lay a proper ambush against the machine. He also tasked himself specifically with the direct command of a Maghariba Guard, which he planned to use to counter the Marut.
Unfortunately, the enemy had also set their sights on the Maghariba. Under heavy sustained fire from the Marut, it was the first casualty when the fighting broke out.
My squad tried to return fire, but to no avail. Our rifle bullets simply bounced off the Marut’s armout and [NAME REDACTED] Panzerfausts ended up going wide of their target. Despite the overwhelmed odds, they continued to throw everything they could at the metal menace, never backing down, even as they were gunned down one by one.
………….
Me? Well, I managed to lay low enough for the beast to not know I was there. …and when the order did come to move out, it was not the lieutenant’s voice that came over team comms. He had been gunned down before he could issue the orders to move out. It was only a clear chain-of-command structure, outlined to us before the mission that insured some form of co-ordinated response when the time came.
……..
So how did I get away? Like I said, the Marut didn’t know I was there, and when the orders did come to move, mine were to lay low to allow our hacker to get close enough to do his work.
…………
What work? Well, try to shut down the Marut, that’s what! I don’t think he got close enough before he was gunned down though.
I don’t know for sure what happened to 2-I-C [REDACTED]. He declared he was pushing further into the facility to inflict as much death on the ALEPH as he could…and the sound of gunfire coming over the comms would suggest he is KIA.
…….
How come they never found me? Well, with me laying low, and the others killed in the fighting, the ALEPH simply resumed their duties at the facility. It was almost as if I was practically invisible.
…….
So what is it they were doing on station? Well…
