Durgama Takeover

“Attention all troops! Attention all troops! Nomad forces have engaged with border security forces all available combat personnel report to your commanders! This is not a drill!”

The mission: Decapitation

The objective: Engage and destroy invading Nomad forces

Turn 1A

Corregidor forces have successfully engaged with border troops and have taken hold of one of the towns. The Corregidor forces opened up with Señor Massacre leading his Jaguars as a vanguard force to trip the mines placed by the White Banner troops. With Señor failing to dodge the defensive turret, he was knocked unconscious, the following Jaguar also failed the dodge and got taken out by a mine. The last Jaguar moved up to the nearby building, avoiding the HVT’s stun pistol and forcing a Guilang and Long Ya out of camouflage. After successfully avoiding the Guilang’s shotgun the Jaguar took out the Guilang but was pinned down by the Long Ya’s placed mine. A Gecko then moved up to destroy the White Banner’s defensive turret and HVT, the Gecko then turned it’s guns onto the exposed Long Ya and put out of commission. Finally the 2 Geckos went into suppression fire.

Turn 1B

With the Guilang down the White Banner was forced to bring in the Tiger soldier to get a different attack vector on the Gecko. Unfortunately while trying to advance it got taken out by the Corregidor’s own defensive turret. Then another camouflage marker moved down from a sniper tower to remove a Tsyklon that the Corregidor had crawled up onto a roof, the Daofei revealed himself and blasted the Tsyklon apart with his spitfire, then he turned his gun to the Transductor and did the same. After that the Daofei attempted to battle it out with the Gecko but was unable to do any damage and has taken a wound for his trouble. He retreated back into camo and waited for another opportunity. Meanwhile back to the other side of the table, Liang Kai and his monks were forced to advance to intercept Señor Massacre as he had regenerated.

Turn 2A

With minimal damage sustained the Corregidor forces pushed on. Señor Massacre advanced towards Liang Kai but in doing so caused the Gecko and HVT to be in the line of fire to one of the Shaolin monks, which resulted in the Gecko taking 2 structures points and the HVT to go unconscious. Still Señor was able to dodge the chain rifle fire and took down the monk and Liang Kai in close combat. The third and final monk was able to take Señor down with his chain rifle. Then a Clockmaker ran towards the down Gecko, the camouflaged Daofei had to make a call and once again leave camo to take a potshot at the Clockmaker, the gambit failed and the Clockmaker made into safety. Seeing that the Daofei had been exposed, the second Gecko gunned down him down and went back into suppression. The turn ended with once again Señor Massacre getting revived.

Turn 2B

Things are turning dire for the White Banner forces with the loss of the Daofei and Liang Kai, the only troops capable of attacking are Adil and his Zhanshi teams, a hidden Long Ya and a Ruishi. The first thing to do is to remove Señor Massacre, so the Ruishi push to the side and was able to blind side Señor Massacre and stitched him up with its Spitfire. With the path clear the last monk put down a smoke grenade and closed in on the Gecko and stripped it off its last remaining structure. Now to deal with the Jaguar that was still perched on the roof, Adil and his team moved up to see the lone Jaguar, Adil fired his Breaker Combi rifle at the Jaguar, the Jaguar used the downed Guilang nearby as a body shield and avoided the attack. After a few more rounds of shooting the Jaguar was still alive however.

Turn 3A

The battle was pretty much won at this point and now it’s just a matter of cleaning up. The Jaguar fired at the Zhanshis scattered below with his chain rifle and was able to knock 2 out but was also taken out by Adil’s return fire. Then the other Gecko moved up and destroyed the Ruishi and once again went into suppressive fire. A group of Alguaciles pushed up towards the last Shaolin monk and opened fire, the monk successfully dodged away. The Alguaciles moved again and fired on the monk and took him out before he was able to lay down a smokescreen. Once all immediate threats are removed, the Clockmaker moved up to the Gecko and repaired it.

Turn 3B

With little options left the remaining Long Ya moved to engage the Alguaciles and Gecko now stuck in a bottle neck. The Long Ya missed with its Flammenspeer and closed in to use its Heavy shotgun, successfully killing the Alguacile lieutenant. Adil with his remaining Zhanshi then fired upon the recently repaired Gecko and was able to destroy it as well take out another Alguacil.

And with that the mission was over
After tabulating the scores the Corregidor had more kills
Both White Banner and Corregidor had the same numbers of Lts and designated targets killed. Final score is 7-4 in Corregidor’s favour
