O-12
Saber117
VS Yu Jing
ISS Collateral Compassion Division

*NOTE 1: All buildings with playable interiors (exclusively the Armoury building in this game) were played under the assumption that models could draw a line of fire into, out of, but not through. Template weapons functioned normally, but could not select a target unless they abided by these line of fire rules. Mines and other deployables were not affected and could affect targets through. ‘Doors’ on buildings without playable interiors were treated as ladders. The southwestern armory building was treated as being infinitely high, while the eastern armory building had a ceiling.
*Note 2: North, south, east, and west are used in this report. The first picture depicts the board before the deployment, the top is north, the bottom is south, and the rest follows from there.

Once again dealing with the illegal antics of the “ISS Collateral compassion division”. Command decided that the Yu Jing Aggressors needed to be halted here at any cost.

O-12 Won the roll and elected to take deployment, knowing that the ISS collateral compassion division commander tends to often overextend his forces. Hopefully, a trap could be laid.

Deployment:
YJ ended up using strategos to hold three troops in reserve, making O-12 forces essentially deploy without any knowledge of any of the more active units one often sees YJ illegally employ.
O-12 deployed a repeater net of bots with the support of two hackers (Kappa, Cyberghost hacker) on the north and south sides of the table. O-12’s commander elected to hold back the commander of this force (an MR/tinbot Omega) until they knew what they were dealing with. Little did O-12 know that YJ has some dirty tricks up their freshly pressed sleeves.
From reserves, YJ deployed Sun Tzu with a multi sniper rifle in a position to perfectly overwatch the Epsilon now stuck in cover (effectively for the whole game).
A HISHEN also joins the fray on the Northeast part of the board. But the tricky part for O-12 is the Camo marker that successfully infiltrates the southwest part of the board. Just a few inches away from O-12’s deployment zone.
O-12 Finishes deploying the Omega limits one of YJ’s combat groups and the game starts.

During the BTS armor roll for all units in this mission, CHO was revealed on O-12’s side (didn’t realize holomask was affected until we were rolling). Two Varangians and Casanova managed to get the extra armor on O-12’s side.

Round 1:
YJ active
– HSIEN makes its way to the middle of the board with its HMG, and manages to catch two Varangians (who had the extra armor) that were left out with the HMG, making both go Dogged, and ending his turn prone.
– The camo marker that infiltrated earlier uses a 6″ move to make its way into the O-12 deployment zone around the side of the board. Casanova manages to make the discovery roll and DÀOFĚI is revealed. DÀOFĚI then comes around the building and kills the CyberGhost, and after an extra order or two, the flash pulse bot is killed as well. The south half of O-12’s repeater net is down. The DÀOFĚI goes back into marker state and ends its turn within hacking distance of the omega after weathering an oblivion attempt from the nearby Fuzzbots repeater.
– A SHAOLIN makes its way up the middle of the board, making it into CC with the forwards deploying crusher there, putting the crusher into NWI before YJ ends their turn.
O-12 Active:
– After taking some heavy losses already this early on, O-12 decides to focus on the objective.
– Varangians though, not listening to orders charge ahead (impetuous), the northern Varangian simply moving eastward along the northern edge of the board. The other Varangian in the middle of O-12 deployment makes it into CC with the SHAOLIN and Crusher, the SHAOLIN dodges out of combat, chain rifle at the ready if either made a move.
– Needing to deal with the hacker just around the corner, CHO dives over a wall and attempts to discover the hacker. Before she can, however, she is shot by SUN TZE v2.
– The omega, now in a very tight pickle decides to risk it and using his LT order moves closer to the standoff involving the crusher, Varangian, and SHAOLIN. DÀOFĚI attempts to hack, but the Tinbot allows the omega to get away.
– In a desperate attempt to get the crusher out of harm’s way, O-12 made the call to give the enemy too many choices for his chain rifle. The Varangian leading the coordinated order along with OMEGA and Crusher all move, the Varangian ending in CC. The SHAOLIN decides to kill the Varangian in CC but it’s too late for him as the overwhelming fire from Varangian, Crusher, and OMEGA manages to kill the SHAOLIN.
– OMEGA moves and ends his turn in suppressive on the eastern edge of the O-12 deployment zone, this ends up being a mistake.
– Casanova makes his way up the board, activating the southwest console on his way through that room. Going out the east door an LÙ DUĀN reveals itself and shoots at casanova. Casanova, not having time for this, simply fires back with his SMG and destroys the remote. Continuing, Casanova activates the Southeast console and ends his turn prone behind the console so the HSIEN won’t be able to see him without spending considerable orders, and goes into suppressive fire mode.
– CRUSHER wanting to get a few more points for O-12, moves into the southwest objective room behind Casanova and spends two orders to get the classified objective + Intelcom bonus against the enemy HVT.

With both turns ended, O-12 dominates three zones to YJs one and has activated two consoles compared to none. O-12: 4 – YJ: 0.

Round 2:
YJ active:
– Another SHAOLIN moves westward and deploys smoke for the HSIEN to move to the northmost building without being seen by the suppressive OMEGA until the omega is gunned down through smoke. The HSIEN ends its turn in suppressive.
– LIU XING drops onto the table on the western edge of the board in the O-12 Deployment zone, he rounds the corner taking fire from the kappa hacker and Sirus team, but they both fail to damage LIU and the kappa dies.
– Now, with no O-12 hacking presence. The DÀOFĚI is free to move into the southwestern quadrant, firefighting the O-12’s defensive F13 turret while it does so without taking any hits.
– SUN TZE and some Kuang Shi attempt to descend the stairs of the eastern building to fight Casanova, he suppressive fires one of Kuang Shi to death, tanking some hits from SUN TZE’s pistol while he does so. The other Kuang Shi dodges into CC with Casanova on the next order. This ends YJ’s turn.
O-12 Active:
– Loss of LT with both CHO and Omega dead.
– Last remaining Varangian moves forward, attempting to chain rifle the HSIEN in suppressive with both her orders. Neither works out and she dies.
– Epsilon now free to move, runs to the North west quadrant to at least get bodies there.
– Needing the DÀOFĚI dead so he doesn’t get the southeast zone, the Sirus team stands up and puts all red fury shots into the DÀOFĚI, no shots land, and the SIRUS is killed by the HSIEN still in suppressive. At the same time, the SIRUS bot did round the corner and manages to stick the HSIEN (too late) with the heavy riotstopper.
– CASANOVA uses his order to critically hit the Kuang shi he was in CC with, to no effect. Converting an order of one FUZZbot to a regular. Casanova does it again killing the Kuang Shi this time, at least able to ARO against SUN TZE in the next turn, even though he would no longer dominate the southeast quadrant this round.
– The last Fuzzbot uses its order to move into the Northwest quadrant, hopefully, baggage + the Epsilon will be enough for this zone.

YJ dominates three zones, to O-12’s one zone. O-12: 4 – YJ: 2

Round 3:
YJ active:
– Sun TZE and Casanova doge and shoot volleys at each other (without damage to either) while SUN TZE moves into the southwest quadrant just enough to trigger the EM mine casanova deployed at the start of the game. He is isolated, but now the DÀOFĚI is free to move into the southwestern objective room and activate that console (SW) for YJ (taking a wound from the F13 turret in the process). DÀOFĚI ends his turn moving into the southeast quadrant staring down Casanova to dominate the zone there. This leaves Isolated SUN TZE to dominate the southwest quadrant on its own.
– LIU XING rounds the south side of the building, and guns down the Epsilon, taking a wound in the process.
– LIU then dodges further into the northwest quadrant past the F-13 turret and activates the northwest console. This means both YJ and O-12 have activated two consoles, with orders being thin for YJ at this point. LIU rounds the corner and destroys the baggage bot in the northwest quadrant.
O-12 Active:
With only two models left on the board at this point (Casanova and a Fuzzbot), O-12 takes a knee and runs down the clock, unwilling to give the DÀOFĚI a chance to kill Casanova and get Secure HVT, which would win YJ the game at that point.

YJ has activated two consoles, and O-12 has activated two consoles from earlier. Yj dominates more zones. At two points for the consoles, and two more to YJ for dominating more zones this round. The game finishes with a draw. O-12:6 – YJ: 6
