Durgama Takeover

After the success of my last outing, my tactical genius was begining to be noticed by high command and praised accordingly:

– At morning breifing- “you are not long for this academy”
– after receiving today’s mission- “there is no one else”

IE. “Incredibly fast learner” and “a leader of unrivaled brilliance”. Truly humbling to receive such comments from such senior staff- so sad that it took them so long to see.

My men and I were once more tasked with placing our glorious yet tasteful flag upon the holy soil of Cameliard. The journey to the LZ was energised- the men keen to recreate last missions success.

To that end, the men began with great success- standout moments include:

– The Sepulchre Knight managing to stop an otherwise horrific charge by a enormous beast.
– Tuton with missile launcher managing to clear out several roadblockers for-
– NCO spitfire tuton advancing nicely towards the centre and allowing panopile acquisition

After an amazing first push (again, thanks to my tactical delegation) we were in an amazing spot, ready for a quick finish.

It was at this point that the enemy regrouped and began to show their real power, I must commend their commander for rallying his men- balancing the field once more. Although, on a personal note, I must say I found it selfish- if they had simply conceded, perhaps I could have been back at base in time for afternoon tea.

Instead they had to insist on excelling- the Sepulchre Knight, who had been unstoppable to this point, along with a trinitarian were abruptly brought down by the enemy Digger. The tutonic advance was halted by a strategic hacking package.

What should have been a simple afair was ultimately an altercation we only just came out ontop of.

In hindsight, I believe on an instictual level I knew another rousing success would have disheartened other commanders and lowered overall morale- the subconscious decision I made to avoid a win by whitewash just further proves my (as command would put it,) Tactical Genius.
