Morat Aggression Forces Debriefing/Tribunal hearing
Oral testimony transcribed below –

Tribunal Chief Officer (TCO) – Commander, you are here to recount the details of the defeat suffered at the hands of the human forces while trying to secure data that the EI has deemed crucial to victory on Concilium Prima.
Commander (CMDR) – I offer no excuses. The human filth proved to be more cunning than previously anticipated.
TCO – You will provide a summary of your actions, and we will decide what punishment you have earned.
CMDR – At the onset of the battle, I deployed a small, elite unit of warriors to take control of two consoles and the data coffin described in the mission briefing. A tarlok and a member of the diplomatic corps were held in reserve to provide additional support as needed. Opposing us were a group of PanOceania forces. We were outnumbered from the start.
TCO – Yet our intelligence reports have a clear estimate of opposition forces in this theatre. Did you ignore these reports?
CMDR – Despite our numerical inferiority, I had assumed our Morat forces would prove superior in performance-
TCO – You were wrong. Continue your testimony.
CMDR – The human forces gained the initiative, forcing us to respond to their actions. A unit in the enemy deployment zone attempted to kill our Lieutenant in the field with rocket fire, but failed, and was rendered unconscious via return fire from the lieutenant’s HMG. Enemy forces on the other side of the battle moved forward to take one of the control consoles, successfully securing it before we could mount a resistance.
In response, our Dartok hacker moved to secure the data coffin, while the Kaitok heavy infantry moved into a better support position. We had little access to the enemy units, and so I took a risk and called our Diplomatic operative to drop behind enemy lines. He died in battle, succumbing to wounds after killing an enemy sergeant.
TCO – This was a high risk maneuver.
CMDR – Yes, but I judged it necessary. The Rasyat corps has in the past proved to be an effective agent. The enemy had deep defenses that proved to be too much to overcome.
TCO – Continue.
CMDR – Enemy units had grouped together in cover near an objective, and in response to this, our Tarlok unit was combat dropped into their midst. The human armor, against expectations, managed to save them from the resulting explosion. In retaliation, the Tarlok was immobilized, and later killed in action.
TCO – Again, a risk. I’m seeing a pattern emerging in this string of events.
CMDR – Victory belongs to those willing to seize it.
TCO – Victory belongs to the strong, not the foolish! These actions will be considered heavily when we decide on the terms of your punishment.
*Inaudible comments amongs tribunal members*
TCO – You will continue.
CMDR – Despite these setbacks, the Suryat was able to further incapacitate an enemy warcor unit via machine gun fire. The lieutanant also fired upon an enemy remote, but was unable to damage it before it scurried to cover. Our Kaitok moved up the field, attempting to destroy an enemy oxbot with it’s flammenspeer, however it was unable to find it’s target, and was killed by a flamethrower and E/M mine hidden on the battlefield.
In the last moments of combat, our suryat became engaged with an enemy knight who had flanked our forces, fighting in close combat to a standstill. While this happened, enemy forced gained control of the other console. Our dartok hacker had reached the tech coffin and secured it, but in their last moments were engaged by enemy forces. We were out of time, and nothing further could be accomplished, so I called for a full withdrawal.
TCO – This battle seems to have been nothing but a string of poor planning, judgement, and unnecessary risks that have cost the Combined Army vital intelligence. While you have managed to secure one objective, this mission could not be deemed anything other than a failure.
CMDR – We could not have known the depths of treachery that the humans would-
TCO – Enough! We will now deliberate on your punishment.
*Tribunal retires to quarters, and returns to the chamber five minutes later*
TCO – In light of your testimony and available evidence, we will allow you to retain your command. However, this failure is too dire to be ignored. We hearby sentence you to eight hours in a punishment sphere. We hope that the pain you suffer will help you reflect on your mistakes, and provide an incentive for better performance in future engagements. You will report to the Discipline officer immediately.
CMDR – … Understood. I will not fail again.
TCO – See that you do not. This tribunal is adjourned.
