Durgama Takeover

We rolled for what theatre to fight in as we organised before High Commands had designated targets of interest. Apologies for the small number of pictures we got too excited and we were showing the game to a new third player.

White Banner one the roll off and chose deployment. OSSS chose to take the first turn.

The 23rd Banner (WB) were dispatched as a scientific recovery force to Gekidan Research park. They were to escort a civilian team of data recovery experts and to eliminate Dr Aiko, a traitor who took his research materials: Project Jiaoshan over to the secessionist side.

Due to a info leak in the 23rd Banner local combat command framework, Aleph was alerted to this and in the interests of a united human front against CA incursion, dispatched The Special Circumstances Company to disrupt the childish squabbling.

OSSS Turn 1:

The OSSS contact force Special Circumstances Company arrived at an outlying Gekidan Research Accomodation Block and found the 23rd Banner dug in. At the beginning of the turn a Haris Fireteam of a Rudra and two Dakinis rushed forward. A Long Ya Remote shed it’s camouflage and let fly a flammenspear. The inferno engulfed and as the ashes fell an burning mass of exotic materials and a malfunctioning Dakini lay in ruin. Seeing this a Posthuman rounded a corner and let fly, engulfing the LongYa. An embedded War correspondent with the 23rd Banner shone a laser pointer into the Post Humans Eyes and out of sheer bemusement was stunned. The consciousness of the Posthuman switched to it’s forward observer and rushed forwards. As it darted across a space between buildings the WB WarCore took a picture, stunning it and a mine went off taking the second Posthuman to No wound incapacitation, as it hunkered down behind a building. The fireteam Dakini sniper opened fire on a flash pulse mulching it’s mass produced and unloved remote body into dust. The Dakini sniper then set it’s sights on the LongYa who was, by comparison to the Flash Chaiyi Yaokong was built with love and care. It’s Flammenspear flew through the air, somehow knocking the sniper rounds off there course and hit Critically into the Dakini Sniper, and another Dakini member of the fight team, much like there earlier Chipmates they left only a pile of broken parts and dreams.

WB turn 1:

Hearing the bang and whistle of Flammenspear rockets and the kill confirm chirps resounding the battle Comms net of The 23rd Banner. A shaolin monk spring forward, sprinting up the WB left flank. He rounded the corner and shot his pistol into the back of the Forward Obvsever Posthuman. As the Posthuman slumped against the wall and slid down, a shimmering outline moved up the right flank. It revealed itself to be a Daofei and opened fire on the Rocket Launcher Posthuman and repayed the revenge that was rought on the LongYa. With the way cleared the Daofei hacked one console to reveal a member of Dr Aiko’s research team but not the Dr themselves. The Daofei sprinted through the Emerald forest that covered the middle of the board and pressed another, revealing Dr Aiko. Behind the Daofei’s mask, his eyes narrowed. To clear the board of hazard; a ShangJi in a Haris fireteam stood up and cleared one of The Special Circumstances Company Flash pulse bots in a hail of Iridium tipped sabot.

OSSS turn 2:

A probot rushed across the backline in attempt to buff the remaining Dakini welding a heavy machine gun, however a Hundun that had been concealed in a roof top launched its payload and killed the remote before it got a chance to provide extra computational power to the Dakini. The Dakini HMG rounds the corner and opens fire at the Hundun, causing her to drop into cover. The Dakini HMG gets into a gun battle with the ShangJi APHMG, shedding the armour plating and finishing off the ShangJi.

WB turn 2:

The Shaolin moves forward in a hope of killing one of the revealed targets however a Dasyu melts out of the scenery and places a boarding shotgun to the head of the monk and splatters the wall that had been it’s hiding place. Adil runs forward to final console and as his hand reaches for the Console his form wavers and is replaced with a TianGou who activates the console and reveals the third member of Dr Aiko’s team. The TianGou moves forward and takes out the traitor Dr Aiko and slips back, happy to have paid the debt of treachery. The Daofei spins out from behind cover and finishes off a researcher cowering behind a power conduit. Sensing a counter attack the order if given for the Rui Shi to move up and as one the Tian Gou, the Daofei and Ruishi laydown suppressive fire across the board, the buildings ring with the bullets if the mighty Jade empire.

OSSS turn 3

The Dakini HMG and it’s three man fireteam move up the board clearing away the remaining LongYa and hoping to cover the remaining researcher. The fire team Isolated the Daofei, it’s battle net connection flashing twice red then black.

WB turn 3

The RuiShi’s circuits buzzed as it attempted to calculate the best course of action: to go after the Dakini Haris or the final revealed researcher. The teachings hardwired into the remote won out: “kill there guys and win the game or something I don’t know” – Sun Tze . The RuiShi darted across the board firing into the Dakini Haris, but breaking off to kill the final revealed researcher.
