CHA won roll to go first, I took the side with the very tall building. In retrospect I made some mistakes with deployment (I should have put the myrmidon out there so that he could throw a smoke in ARO early on, and then Atalanta would have had a better game… more on that later).

Turn 1a: Eating up most of his orders, he kills Atalanta and Phoenix with his HMGs splitting burst between them, Atalanta luckily passing her save on the first exchange with the Grey that she lost 2 dice to 2 dice, before putting the Grey to dogged. But nothing saved her from the Mormaer who put her down. Phoenix went to NWI early, won a few fights but couldn’t wound anyone, until he caught an SAS trying to FO him, as well as the Mormaer who he doggeds. Then nobody else dies to my fire. He heals his Mormaer from dogged with a paramedic but kills his Grey. McMurrough moves up a bit with the remaining orders. He fails to target Hector with an SAS.

Turn 1b: Having to salvage the situation and stop the dog going ham next turn, Hector kills an SAS, jumps off the outcrop he set up on, then goes on a right proper spree. He kills McMurrough, kills a Cateran, knocks the Dozer unconscious and then puts Wallace into NWI with 2 hits, almost killing him. So close. Hector’s team resets their positions a bit to cover Wallace and gets ready to sell themselves dearly.

Turn 2a: Wallace eats a chain rifle trying to get close enough to kill Hector, probably turning the game there. The Katyusha kills both Thorakitais and puts Hector into NWI with the splash, but I pass one of the DA saves to keep him alive. That would have swung the game right back to him too, phew. His paramedic (absolutely the MVP) heals the Dozer, while the Haris moves off their building and up to the midfield.

Turn 2b: 6 orders, a Tac Aware and Hector’s 2. Let’s do it. Ajax shoots the Haris to bits, takes 6 orders and the tac awareness (which was used to shuffle position), 2 shots per Scot. Each one fails 1 save at a time, so dogged-dead, dogged-dead on the Greys, then the Mormaer passed 4 or 5 saves on the first order and thankfully failed one on the second to go to dogged. I stopped spending orders then, not wanting Ajax to accidentally eat a Damage 17 AP (yew) to the face for no gain. Hector knocks the Katyusha unconscious and fails to hurt the Dozer with the last 2 orders as he hides himself again in his little nook on that flank.

We call it there as he has a dozer on the ground and 4 volunteers on a roof and is in Loss of Lieutenant for his final turn, and with the orders and command tokens he had he couldn’t score more points to swing the result by killing anyone. He was again a great opponent and we both learnt a lot about the other army (I should really go back and try Mormaers in my CHA).

At the end of the game, I was left with 195 points. This netted me 4 OP for kills, 3 OP for those left alive and 2 for doming Wallace, adding up to 9 OP.
My opponent was left with 41 points, and his kills got him 1 OP

Narrative to follow (CHA taunted Aleph after the last assault, having figure out who it was. Wallace is basically going to send a quick video of him and his men mooning Aleph and challenging them to a scrap. That’s the rough idea, see what I come up with. Less serious than last time)
