Durgama Takeover

Silence. A quiet atmosphere is what is engulfing Xiandao in these nightly hours. Most of the troops are dispatched in Cameliard. Here at the foundry the outer defense have collapsed after a week of sustained combat but the main structure held pretty well. Patrols incessantly watch for the premises, improvised field hospitals are never idle: we are at war, after all. But tonight is a rare night of apparent quiet.
An explosion. Not far away, here, near the main furnace. Alarms starts blaring, I reach for my helmet. The interface was full of notification, a stream of data start coming. In a bunch of seconds the situation was clear: a trait of wall near the furnace collapsed, cutting off all the personnel from the south side of the site. Moreover we have intruders. First instinct, issuing orders.
"Does anyone in the main furnace can hear me?" Silence. Then statics. "Ehm, hello? Does this thing works? Hello?". A well known voice.
"Liang Kai", said, "situation report!"
"Ah, Tàng Shun, is that you? The south wall went down, we cannot exit from there!", he seems a little worried.
"Are there intruders? Can you see them?", I asked.
"We are assisting the injured. The collapse is pretty bad, a lot of hurt tech staff, maybe even a TAG pilot. The hangar looks pretty bad, but it was almost empty… " Situation looks pretty bad, actually.
"Leave them for now, reinforcements and personnel is coming, but I need you to engage the intruders to buy us some time. Have you enough men to comply?"
"Not so many, four Shaolins including me, a zhanshi goncheng, that warcor that arrived yesterday from Yutang and two wolves...", he rapidly enumerated.
"Two wolves? You mean the "grey wolves", the Guilangs?", I asked inquisitively.
"No, no, one gray and one blue…"
Gunshots, heavy machinery sounds, comms went down.

YJ wins initiative roll and chooses to go first. YJ deploys engineer in the backside, Warcor in high ground and monks near the center line (both Liang Kai haris and lone monk), Guilang far back in the left side. Turret is placed in cover near the center line. Blue Wolf as reserve, placed near the center.
JSA deploys Keisotsu four-man Core (3 man, one of which Lieutenant, and a Kempei) in high ground, Tanko haris high on the right side. Turret is placed in the right side. Shikami in reserve on a scenery near the center line, in the left side.
Mission is Decapitation with Debris Area, Close Quarters and Armored Reinforcements special rules. No classified objective are allowed by the mission.

YJ moves Monk in impetous phase and chain rifle an HVT to unconscious, but got struck down by a Tanko submachine gun. Monk haris is moved, Tanko AROes with Flammenspeer, face to face is won by smoke grenades but one monk die from flames and Liang Kai take one damage, going NWI. Blue Wolf moves into smoke in HVT direction. HVT dodges away but is reached and BERSERKED to death soon after. Blue Wolf the exits smoke in front of Tanko haris, climb on top of container and release the Heavy Flamethrower. One Tanko dies right away and one become unconscious. Blue wolf is struck by turret, Blitzen and contender, resulting in going unconscious, isolated and immobilized. Monk haris (now a duo), move forward to reach Keisotsu fireteam, but fails dodge and is ultimately killed in ARO by Tanko and turret.
JSA moves Tanko forward, Warcor AROs e stun him. Kempei moves and kills Warcor with Spitfire, Shikami moves and kills a monk (which fails dodge). Kempei then kills what remained of the poor Blue Wolf and kills turret. Shikami jump up to gain vision of both HVT and shoot them, but they both save ARM. The left one is then killed.

YJ moves up Goncheng and shoot the unconscious HVT, but he saves ARM.
JSA moves Tanko forward. Then moves Shikami and kills Goncheng. He then shoot the HVT dead and push forward his trail of gore. Shikami then reach Guilang Lieutenant and kills it. With some order still available, JSA tries to ress HVT with Keisotsu's medikit. The shoot succeed, the PH roll no.

YJ has nothing left on the board, so here ends the match. JSA wins 10-4 with 115 points remaining.

In less than an hour, they were gone. Intruders gone and our men down. Paramedics start to take away injured and dead fellows alike. Before I can even start counting them, a team of workers was already starting to move debris and consolidate wall traits. The production must go on and luckly the furnace is intact.

"Daofei Tàng Shun", a voice boomed, from behind me. I turned around. Imperial Agent Guo Long moves fast toward me.
“Crane Agent”, I bowed lightly, “I wasn’t expecting your vis…”
“I don’t care.” He interrupted. “Answer now: damages will hinder the production and research?”
“No, i don’t think, but why are you…”
“I am the one making the question here. Who were the intruders?”
“Video feeds and combat tactics leave no doubt: nippon separatist. A strike team of the Japanese Secessionist Army”, I answered.
Agent Guo Long nodded sadly. “High Command made a huge mistake letting them roam around. They expected them to do the same, so naive.” He recomposes, “you are assigned these Kuang Shi and a guard to monitor them. Additional workforce to clean this mess”.
I nodded and bowed. “Thank you, Agent”.
“Commander Lu Gi holds you in high esteem. Don’t squander his favor.” He turned around and walked away, with a degree of majesty.

Once he was gone, I looked around. What a mess. ‘For the people and the Emperor’ we say. People dies and the Emperor scatter his agents around, looking for revenge against nipponese and caring only for productivity.
I turned off the comm-log and disdonned the armor. For today, I’ll be just part of “the people”. May I be a veteran, but my body and my heart are still strong enough to help clean this mess.
