Durgama Takeover

Tasked with gathering information on the Ariadna position in the Starboard battery, A small force of Tunguskan mercenaries set out on a recon mission.
Unfortunately they ran into a patrol from the Tartary army who refused to believe that they were supposed to be there and insisted on fighting.

Ariadna won the lieutenant roll and decided to be the second player. I therefore chose to deploy second and picked a deployment zone that I thought would suit me best. I felt that the map was pretty even for each side with lots of full cover for both armies, but there was a shack on the one flank that I hoped would provide a good place for Raoul Spector to parachute in without getting shot to pieces.

As would be expected Ariadna’s forces were largely obscured with camouflage with only 3 line Kazaks and 3 veteren Kazaks visible after deployment.
All the Ariadna models however were deployed prone to avoid taking early damage.
The Nomads, set up with the Lunokhod covering the right flank, Fiddler on the left with her Jackbots and Perseus ready to lead his fireteam of Securitates up the middle. My Hollowman and Stempler Zond haris team deployed on the walkway to prevent the Ariadna forces from dominating the high ground.

Turn 1 – Nomads

Fiddler zoomed up the right flank, wary of hidden snipers. With her extra movement from low G she moved up into the Ariadnan half of the table quickly. luckily she managed to get there uncontested and sabotaged a military vehicle to score a classified objective.
The Jackbots then pushed forward while she hunkered down and took a shot at the Kazaks hiding behind the shack and barricades there.
the Kazaks were nimble though and dodged out of the line of fire just in time.

The Lunokhod moved forward on the left ready to defend it’s flank and Perseus and his team took up firing positions around the HVT in the center of the table.
Similarly the Hollowman trained his spitfire down the corridor to prevent any movement from that side.

With Fiddler having cleared the way for him Raoul Spector jumped in on the left flank safely behind full cover.
he then moved up to engage the line kazaks stationed there and after a brief exchange of shots managed to take two of them down.

Turn 1 – Ariadna
Finding themselves pinned down in the center the Ariadnans made moves towards the flanks.
The Vet Kazaks moved up on their flank along with some camo markers.
The remaining line kazak tried in vain to take out Spector but fell in the attempt.

Turn 2 – Nomads
The Lunokhod guarding the right flank moved up towards the enemy behind full cover and dropped a crazy Koala to cover it’s rear.
meanwhile, using the repeater on the Lunokhod, the Interventor hacker targeted one of the veteren Kazaks with spotlight to gain classified information and score telemetry.
The Hollow man haris pushed up the corridor to put pressure on the hidden forces there but the stempler zond sensors failed to detect the enemy.
Fiddler and Raoul Spector took up better positions in cover as did the core securitate team.

Turn 2 – Ariadna
A firefight breaks out on the upper floor as the ariadna spetsnaz opens up with his HMG to try to clear the corridor.
Overwhelmed by the fast moving remotes he goes down under the weight of combined fire from the nomad haris.

A Tankhunter with a portable autocannon revealed himself and engaged with Raoul Spector with wounds being taken on both sides.

Turn 3 – Nomads
moving up, the Lunokhod laid down heavy shotgun fire against the veteren Kazaks but fell to their superior strength and numbers.
The Hollowman with a spitfire was in a good position to finish the job, taking out the veteren team from above.

Turn 3 – Ariadna
forced to retreat, the remaining ariadna forces had to regroup with the main force while the Nomads slipped away with valuable intel.
