TTS derby match between Varuna and Military Orders, due a wrong intel that caused a lot of friendly fire!

Start and Deployment

The opponent (MO) won the LT roll and chose to act first.

He deployed very few models: Joan and a Warcor on my left side, Bulletteer and Tech Bee on the center, a couple camoed Trinitarian with mines on midfield.

I answered that deploying a Montesa on my left side, covered by an advanced Peacemaker; center deployment covered by a Squalo and a Kamau/Machinist Core (HMG, Hacker, RL); a bulletteer on my right side, with three camoed Helot RL covering all the firelines.

First Turn

Military Orders: he tried to bring down a Santiago Combat Jump in my half table, ready to run toward the console but failed. Then... he tried again with another Santiago, this time successfully. The Santiago advanced, trying to kill my Kamau hacker, but I was able to save him. Another couple orders, the Santiago charged toward the entrance of my deployment zone, trying first to burst down my core, than hoping to put some dent on the Squalo, but everything went bad, and the only result he obtained was being immobilized by a Zapper aro from the TAG.

Varuna: a couple orders were enough to dispatch the immobilized Santiago, while the Montesa and Peacemaker went forward, toward the panoply and the enemy Joan. The Squalo advanced between the buildings and with a lot of bursts (way too many) was able to kill Joan. The core repositioned itself in the DZ, ready to assist the advancing units on the next turns.

Second Turn

Military Orders: starting in Loss of Lieutenant, my opponent decided to convert a few orders in regular one, ready to use... another Santiago Combat Jump! Welp! The third one dropped in the edge of my DZ, engaging and injurying my Montesa (and killing the nearby auxbot), before retreating in a safe area. The now vulnerable Montesa was targeted by a Trinitarian and killed from a roof, while one of my Helot tried to answer the fire but unsuccessfully. A little repositioning with the orders irregular orders, and the turn ended without much fuss.

Varuna: the Squalo advanced toward the panoply, zapping (and isolating) the Trinitarian. Won the WIP roll for the objective and brought a huge Mimetism-6 bonus! With a laugh I rushed the Squalo forward, putting down the warcor, techbee and Bulletteer, then crashing on the enemy console totally ignoring the aro he was receiving (the first Santiago and a MSR Trinitarian). But with some misfortune I was able to loss two orders worth of CC attacks, and the second one put me on Stunnd state. Damn!
With the last orders I moved the Peacemaker against the Santiago in my DZ, losing it in the process.

Third turn

Military Orders: with few orders left, the Santiago in his deployment zone rushed toward the Squalo, dodging two Zappers and engaging the TAG in CC. D-charged it, I roll armor. Three fails. Oh god.
The other Santiago moved toward the nearby panoply and scored a point.

Varuna: knowing I can now safely let the console unguarded, I moved the core forward, killing the Trinitarian MSR and sacrificing a Kamau to activate a mine. With clear field I moved the rest of the core toward the second panoply and scored the winning point, renouncing any attempt to reach and attack the (now defended) enemy console.

That was... a wild game, for sure.
