Durgama Takeover

Brother Officer Hardwin was confident God was on the side of the Military Orders of PanOceania this day, the push into the Raveneye’s Sensor Module was going well. That was until the hulking Avatar TAG had lumbered into view and began laying into his advancing team. Already the Raveneye officer accompanying them had gone down, heroically sacrificing himself to destroy a repeater that had already been used by an enemy hacker to fry one of Hardwin’s fellow Santiago Knights inside his suit. At least that had allowed him to advance and cut down the Caliban attempting to activate one of the nearby consoles. Unfortunately that mean he now had the attention of the Avatar.

The knight attempted to dodge into cover but it wasn’t enough, he felt the massive rounds rip through his armor like tissue paper, one punching through his shoulder while the second took out a chunk of his upper thigh. With the advance team of Trinitarians also down due to a combination of the Avatar and an unfortunate run in with a viral mine laid by an enemy id’d as the smuggler Aida Swanson, Hardwin ordered a withdrawal, before the pain and shock sent him into unconsciousness. The enemy was too entrenched and they didn’t have the firepower to deal with that monstrous TAG.

The stubborn Knights of his squad refused to retreat without a fight however. The Teuton fireteam on the right flank made the enemy bleed for their victory, bringing down a howling Daturazi Witch Soldier from the NCOs spitfire. A screeching Taigha rounded the corner and charged the Teuton but he stood his ground and cut the foul creature in half with his blade, though it punched a claw through his abdomen as it leapt for him. The NCO and one of his brothers were the next victims of the Avatar however, but Aida Swanson took the full brunt of a panzerfaust sent streaking her way in the process. Finally with only himself and a cowering Techbee, A hospitaller moved up next to the unconscious Hardwin, firing bursts from his heavy machine gun to bring down two more enemies lurking near the nearest console and a tech coffin in the middle of the battlefield. He hauled his fellow knight along as he fell back, the taste of defeat bitter in his mouth but at least the Combined Army hadn’t achieved all of it’s objectives here today and many of the knights would be retrieved to fight again…
