OSS vs Vanilla Yu Jing
Unmasking.

Deployment OSS first.
Dakini link on the left buildings. Asura, Yadu and Shakti harris on the right. Flash pulse bots aggressively deployed to be mobile repeaters.
Yu Jing had a very cautious deployment. Armand le Muet deployed on a box with great views across the battlefield. Two forward camo markers, a Rui Shi and lots of support / chaff. Doctor, Engineer, Shaolin, Kuang Shi.
Reserve for the Aleph was Proxy sniper on the extreme right and proxy engineer supporting the dakini link.
Yu Jing reserve was the fearsome Hsien.

Turn 1 – Aleph
Asura harris managed to cautiously move to advance up the board hiding from Armand. Activated the right hand console to reveal a decoy. The Asura got close enough to take Armand down with a never-before-witnessed-by-either-of-us triple crit. With Armand down they were free to take out the two camouflaged Guilang hackers, and isolate the Hsien before taking up defensive positions.
Yu Jing
With the Lieutenant isolated it was a rocky start. Many command tokens were spent. The engineer repaired the Hsien’s comms allowing him to take furious retribution on the troublesome Asura.

Turn 2
Aleph – my turn to be in Loss of Lieutenant. I’m so used to being Steel Phalanx with a chain of command officer that perhaps I was too reckless with the Asura. 5 veterans lessened the impact. The Dakinis sprang to life advancing on the left hand console and after some trouble interfacing with it, revealed the Designated Target. The Sniper climbed the nearby building and shot down a Kuang Shi. The HMG Dakini fared less well against a Rui Shi on suppression fire, and went down. The Yadu did a daring manoeuvre; climbing a box to take on the Hsien. After several vollies back and forth the Hsien was rendered unconscious.
Yu Jing
Facing another turn in Loss of Lieutenant is a prospect no commander wants to face. Especially with no command tokens remaining. The doctor revived the Hsien. The Celestial Guard put down smoke allowing the Rui Shi to take on the Dakini link, but failing. From the skies a Liu Xing dropped adjacent to the Dakini sniper with an explosion that was more noise than damage.
Turn 3
The Proxy engineer sprinted across from his starting point to the middle console and revealed the final decoy.
The Shakti moved across in front of the Hsien, eating a shot from a heavy pistol, while the Hsien shrugged off an E/Marat. From her advanced position she was able to shoot down the two decoys and the designated target – although it took an embarrassingly large number of orders to do so. The Yadu tried to put the Hsien back down but died instead.
Yu Jing
The game was lost, but there was time for more killing. The Liu Xing killed all but 1 dakini. The Hsien killed Shakti and the Proxy sniper. The engineer fixed the Rui Shi. The Aleph may have succeeded but it cost them more in Lhosts than they would have liked.
