Tournament Game 3:
vs O12

Back aboard the Raveneye station, The war weary Nomad battle group commanded by Interventor KielR attempted to capture a rouge AI inhabiting a server
bank in the stations bow section. For the second time this week – LT KielR found his forces matched against peacekeepers from O12, though a different commander since his previous victory over Starmada at Zebu.

Morale, ammunition and Energy reserves were low from the previous defeats at Gekidan. An initial push was fruitful as a console was efficiently accessed revealing the location of the rouge AI. Additionally, a mapping objective was also secured by the teams midfield specialists.

Alas, this early lead was not to last – clearly some of the Szalamamdra’s targeting systems had been damaged in a previous skirmish as it was unable to win a firefight vs an Epsilon sniper unit while nearly exhausting its ammunition reserves. Clearly this caused significant overheating and prevented the Clockmaker, Zoe from effectively repairing it…likely causing more damage in the attempts.

The real downfall in this encounter came at the hands of yet another hated Aleph aspect obviously seeking vengeance for KielR’s previous treatment of Hector ar Zebu Station.
Hippolyta took a far more aggressive tact and used her exceptional mobility to cross a series of rooftops and dive into combat with the battered Gator series Tag still supporting the Nomad force. While it’s experience in bar room brawls was apparent – ultimately it was brought down by a single stroke of the constructs sword. Having dispatched this roadblock, she was free to move forward and destroy the server banks already in the hands of the Interventors forces.

This concludes a series of operations that appear to have resulted in overwhelming defeat. Or perhaps this has all been part of a greater Nomad strategy, and an extremely clever use of misdirection to secure the main objective, codename “Wooden spoon”..

This prize (and a Valejo paint station) in hand, KielR will bid Durgama Adieu and return to Tunguska to plot future operations.
