VS Nomads
Mr Neighbour

Me and the neigbour are quite new to full blown N4, but we thought we’d give the campaign a try.

He was playing vanilla Nomads and I played vanilla Panoceania. Mr Neighbour managed to win the initiative roll and for some reason chose to deploy first, so I was more than happy to deploy second and have the first turn.

Pano Round 1
Since my opponent had deployed Mary Problems (Rev healer as proxy) in a very easy to reach location I spent my first order to send in an auxilia with auxbot to have a shot at her. Sadly she managed to dodge away and behind a corner. This however, put me in a great spot in the middle room where the tech coffin was located. I then used a coordinated order to get my KoJ with spitfire (He was my breaching specialist) up the lightly defended left flank and a Kamau hacker and Shona Carano into the middle room to provide backup to my auxilia. I then tried my luck on the right flank to take on an HMG wielding alguacile with my Spitfire Nökken, however a forward deployed Sombra (Wildcat as proxy) with red fury in sup. fire decloaked (we missed that cloaked models cant me in sup. fire) and managed to kill the Nökken (Varg as proxy) right after the Alguacile went down. Luckily my sniper Nisse could now get the Sombra in his good range and easily blew him off the table. I then went back to the middle room and advanced Shona to take on Mary. On the way an intruder HMG on the left flank decloaked and got Shona in his LoF, luckily Shona dodged with her amazing dodge capability and managed to get into close combat with Mary.. Mary died. Shona continued around the corner where she could get into Nanopulser range of Perseus (opponents breaching specialist) who was waiting in the back lines for his turn to shine. I only managed to take him to NWI but i felt satisified with Shonas performance. At least my opponent needs to dislodge her before he can use Perseus.

Now i was running low on orders, but feeling cocky about my success so far. Close to the antenna on the right side i had a cloaked Zulu Cobra jammer in full cover and in the middle room i still had an auxilia and kamau hacker. On the right flank my opponent was occupying a tall building with his intruder and also an alguacile covering his back. But i still had my KoJ (MOV 7-2 with d-charges), i spent my remaining orders on him, first he moved up and shot the alguacile dead, he then climbed the ladder and ran into CC with the intruder who tried to stop him with his pistol. The Intruder didn’t stand a chance. Here my opponent missed an ARO hack with Jazz (Zoey as proxy), which could have changed the outcome of the game.

Nomad round 1- where i remembered that I should take some pictures 😀
Now my opponent did a few mistakes according to me. First he tried to kill my KoJ with Jazz trying to shoot him. It ended in a draw. Then perseus shot Shona while Shona templated him back. Shona luckily won. My opponent now moved up his Kriza and killed Shona and moved on to get into position to kill the auxilia and Kamau in the middle room, dodging the Kamaus hacking atempts on the way. He then turned the corner and killed them both. And he then ended his turn with a coordinated order to put 4 troops into suppressive fire.

Pano turn 2
I first ran up and killed Jazz with my Koj spitfire and then tried to move up a fugazi to stun the Kriza, the fugazi died. I then spent a few orders on the KoJ to get into postition without getting shot to get into CC with the Kriza. On the way in I ate a suppressive fire shot from the Kriza but managed to kill him in CC. With my last orders i airdropped an akali hacker on one of the antennas, forgetting an alguacile in suppressive fire that unfortunatley killed the akali (first time I managed to land it FFS!!).

Nomad turn 2
My opponent was now in retreat without any command tokens. But we talked it through and discovered that he had a chance to maybe win (i had a classified that gave me 1 victory point for killing 3 models in cc that he didnt know about) if he moved his daktari up and tried to gain control of the tech coffin. Unfortunatley for him he failed the last dodge he needed to get into base to base.

In the end it was a 1-0 win for PanO, i totally forgot to go for the objectives while having so much fun on my killing spree. :D:D
