Durgama Takeover

A tense battle fought over the Camiliard grounds.

Yu Jing started with the initiative, immediately sacrificing a flash pulse bot to investigate the suspicious Camo marker that has appeared next to Chief Jeong. It exploding suspiciously taking out the bot, but chief and his Moewang bodyguard had no time to investigate it or ‘Audrey from Audit’ who was strangely on the front line checking up to see everyone had completed their mandatory slip-hazard training course.

The core of the invincible army started forward, and cleared out one of the insidious Shasvasstii – a grawlio with heavy rocket launcher who was impeding their way forwards. Once that obstacle had been cleared, Chief Jeong and the Mowang headed forwards to the objective. The Mowang cleared out an M-drone, Noctifier and Aida Swanson, but Jeong took a hit from the M-Drone and went down. Being the only unit in the platoon capable of completing the objective, this looked like terrible miscalculation, but luckily a paramedic kit was launched at Jeong and brought him back up again.

The shifty Shasvastii, having put too much faith in a Gwalio Lieutenant being on overwatch, paid a price by having a leaderless response to the threat. Although reduced were not without tricks and a sequence of individual actions managed to bring down the Mowang standing next to the objective.
The Yu Jing armies were pressing again – and once again Chief Jeong went unconscious. This time it was being shot in the back from Audrey from Audit, although again a paramedic was on hand to revive him from afar, and the Invincible HMG and friends managed to clear a path so he could reach the objective and blow large chinks off it, although at the wooziness from all the injuries must have kicked in as he went to sleep just before managing to finish demolishing the objective.

Approaching the end, a last dash was made by a Taigha creature who made it across the whole board to the enemy objective. The hard armour of the console rebuffed the many bites and claw strikes, denying the Shasvastii any measure of redemption. It was all they could do to kill the Warcor standing to the side, and melt into the jungle once more.
