*NOTE 1: All buildings with playable interiors (exclusively the Armoury building in this game) were played under the assumption that models could draw line of fire into, out of, but not through. Template weapons functioned normally, but could not select a target unless they abided by these line of fire rules. Mines and other deployables were not affected, and could affect targets through. ‘Doors’ on buildings without playable interiors were treated as ladders.
*NOTE 2: Kosmoflot list as posted is not the original, and the order groups are likely incorrect. Will be corrected with the original list PDF at a later point.

Upon finally breaking off from their O-12 pursuers at Cameliard and making landfall in Xiandao, Collateral Compassion Division forces were hopeful for a quick and simple resupply before returning to the field. Unfortunately, awaiting their arrival was a raiding team of Ariadnans. Stragglers from a since scattered larger operation? Mercs sent to send a message? Regardless of their intent, they were another foe standing in the way of the State Empire.

Kosmoflot wins the deployment roll, and opts to seize the initiative and go first. They are then made to deploy first on the western side.
Both Kosmoflot HVTs are positioned on opposing sides of the large, southern building configuration.
The Kosmosoldat Lt deploys near the edge of the northwestern corner alongside the Polaris Controller. Wolfgang and his team sit south of the centre line of the deployment zone, and the Bearpode covers the southern flank. The turret is positioned to watch over the southern HVT. Camoflauged Rokots sit near the middle of the battlefield, one each to the north, south, and centre.
Yu Jing HVTs are deployed along the northern and central lanes of the battlefield.
Yu Jing forces deploy in anticipation of a strong offensive from the Bearpode. A Shaolin is positioned hiding behind a corner on the Southeastern side, while Lunah sits perched to watch the horizontal firelane leading into the Yu Jing deployment zone. Taking advantage of the lack of long range weaponry on Kosmoflot’s part, Sun Tze, the turret, and Chaiyi flashpulse bot are placed with a view along the central firelane to view the central HVT. A Long Ya places its mine to cover the northern HVT. The Guilang minelayer sets up atop the large southern building configuration to guard the top level. The Beasthunter is placed on top of the central section of knocked out highway.
Kosmoflot attempts to infiltrate the reserved Uxia onto Yu Jing’s tableside, but fails her roll and is placed behind their turret along the southern edge.
Thanks to Strategos, the Blue Wolf sets up just underneath the damaged highway section in the northeastern corner, and a hidden Kunai starts atop the eastern silo. Ideally, the hidden trooper was meant to give the idea that a Hundun was watching the table to encourage more conservative enemy movements, without sacrificing midfield control.

(Bit represents a Monstrucker, and Sun Tze 2.0 Marksman is represented by a Sun Tze 1.0 in this game and the associated photographs)

Yu Jing spends a command token to remove two orders from Kosmoflot’s second order group (the group with the Bearpode and Uxia)

Turn 1:
Kosmoflot Active 1: The northmost Varangian moves eastward towards the HVT, but is wounded by the mine and goes dogged. Wolfgang and his team move eastward, starting up the concealed central southern building configuration. Wolfgang ends up triggering the mine at the top of the stairwell, successfully dodging it. Wolfgang then goes prone to avoid enemy gunfire and moves to the top of the building, and discovers the Guilang. The two engage in a gunfight, each wounding the other and the Guilang going unconscious. While this obstacle guarding a critical section of the battlefield was now removed, it cost the entire order pool of the first combat group to do so.
Changing gears to the second battle group, the Bearpode beings to move eastward, carefully making sure not to reveal itself to enemy defenses before tossing a grenade down the horizontal fire lane at the front of the Yu Jing deployment zone. The Bearpode then rounds the corner, which alerts the Shaolin to its presence, who dodges into combat with the Bearpode. Lunah also reveals, missing her shot. Now locked in combat with the Shaolin, the Bearpode spends several orders attempting to maul it, but the monk is far more skilled a fighter, and fights him off, although fails to do damage.
The Kosmosoldat enters suppressive fire using its lieutenant order.
Lastly, not wanting to end the turn overexposed, Uxia moves to safety up the southwestern stairwell.

Yu Jing Active 1: The Blue Wolf moves south across the deployment zone and up the ladder/doorway on the eastern side of the southern building configuration to meet Wolfgang. It attempts to fire a volley at the wulver, but is bested and suffers a wound instead. Once more, it fires off again, this time killing Wolfgang and establishing itself as the alpha of the pack. It then leans down the stairwell to threaten the most of the rest of the fireteam (Rokot and two Mekaniks), who had positioned thinking they would be safe from assailants. Staring down the barrel of a suped-up heavy flamethrower, they fire away desperately, but in their panic fail to land any damaging blows as they are melted alive in the tight corridor. The Blue Wolf then moves to the southern ledge of the top level, first shooting down the enemy turrent, then revealing the enemy Rokot on the southern edge and killing it. It then passes over to the next section of the building, aiming at the southern HVT, but is unable to harm it with a full volley of shots. Now in position to view the Patcher, it opens fire, but only inflicts a single wound, allowing it to turn to face him with it in point blank range with the destructive vulkan shotgun. This careless positioning leaves the Blue Wolf stuck, and unable to move without risking the ire of a weapon it is not ready to deal with. It’ll need some help to get out of this situation…
Stirring atop the Eastern silo, the faint image of a trooper moves westward, and then reveals itself as a Kunai Ninja, opening fire with its Marksman Rifle on the back of the damaged Patcher, knocking it unconscious. The Ninja then discovers and kills the central camoflauged Rokot, and then climbs on to the side of the silo to gain clear view of the northernmost HVT, killing it and returning to the top of the silo. It then returns to marker state.
With its obstacles removed, the Blue Wolf kills off the healthy Varangian, and then retreats slightly to the eastern section of the building and ends the turn in suppressive fire facing west to dissuade enemy attackers.

Kosmoflot Active 2: The Bearpode tries to kill the Shaolin, but this time, the Shaolin retaliates with force and inflicts a wound instead. The remaining camoflauged Rokot then moves below the central section of highway, deftly avoiding enemy view. It then opens fire with its shotgun on the northern Yu Jing HVT, killing it in a single volley. It then rounds the corner past the silos to move for the second HVT. Getting a clear line of fire to the HVT puts him in view of Sun Tze and the turret, who immediately shred him in response. The Rokot attempts to take down the HVT at the same time, but the turbulent blizzard gets in the way and the shots fail to land.

Yu Jing Active 2: The two Kuang Shi towards the south move towards the Bearpode to bolster the monk in combat. The plan being to coordinate a dodge into combat with the bear before attacking with the monk to overwhelm the bear with attacks. Unfortunately, the Shaolin lets his previous success and impetuous nature get the better of him. He attacks the bear, but this time he is the one hit instead, and he goes unconscious. With the monk out of the way, however, this opens up Lunah for a clear shot, putting the animal out of its misery.
The Blue Wolf kills the last HVT, and then re-enters suppressive in its original position.
The Beasthunter jumps off the central highway section, and then moves towards the northwest corner, approaching the Kosmosoldat and Bearpode Controller (not enough that she just lose her pet). The Controller discovers the Hunter, but not before it can move behind it and directly next to the Kosmosoldat, who it then engages in combat. The Kosmosoldat is killed, and the Hunter next moves on to the Controller. Lastly, it then moves to discover and kill the Zenit.

Kosmoflot Active 3: With Uxia the only remaining Ariadnan trooper, she has little else left to attempt but harming the Blue Wolf. She maneuvers up the stairwell, prone, and attacks the Blue Wolf through the blizzard with her assault pistol. Neither one is able to damage the other.

Yu Jing Active 3: The Blue Wolf moves towards the stairwell, and after a few volleys, the stubborn Uxia is killed.

End of Game: Yu Jing Victory, 10/2

Closing Thoughts: Kunai Ninja is a fun little trooper with an interesting kit. The pieces don’t always line up perfectly, and BS11 is definitely a bit of a pain, but the tools are there for a nice problem solver thanks to that great mobility and a range band a lot of people don’t expect from a Ninja. The last time I tried using the Kunai, it couldn’t land a single shot, so this was a nice change.
The Blue Wolf’s HFT is absolutely brutal in tight corridors. What looked like a hard-to-assail shelter to begin a turn-two offensive now that the top level was clear ended up becoming a tomb.

Table setup. Yu Jing to the east, Kosmoflot to the west.
Wolfgang ascends the stairwell. An exploding wave of shrapnel descends the stairwell.
The Guilang and Wolfgang both exchange gunfire, doing quite the number on one-another. Unfortunately for the Guilang, he failed to consider just how much tougher Wolfgang was.
Bearpode makes it to the Yu Jing deployment zone, but the eager Shaolin jumps in to intercept, trapping the poor bear in combat with him.
The Blue Wolf climbs to meet Wolfgang, and after a few volleys back and forth, the leader of the pack is clear.
To help fix the Blue Wolf's over-extension, it helps to have hidden friends in high places...
...and it helps even more when those friends are able to use every dimension of those high places to help you out.
Camoflauged Rokot moving to avoid Yu Jing eyes before opening fire on the HVT.
In his hubris and impatience, the monk manages to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
Beasthunter maneuvers carefully to begin an impressive killing spree on par with a slasher flick villain.
Uxia's last stand.
