The smell of burnt flesh and smoldering plastics greeted Surnulak as the massive Kaitok took his helmet off and breathed in the aroma of victory. As the veteran warrior surveyed the aftermath of the battle he spied a disconnected Yudbot leaning listless against the side of the outpost, Surnak grunted and changed his direction. Quick purposeful strides reached the diminutive robot, and massive gauntleted hands seized it. With a quick practiced movement he tore it in half. Measuring the diminutive robot head in one hand he considered, then threw the yudbots head against the ferroconcrete of the far wall so hard it shattered. There was no reason for this, no plan, just plain malice.

Kaitok mauls a poor defenseless Yudbot to end the game

This was a match against the my main Infinity sparing partner Fred. He was running a vanilla O12 list. I had built the list to counter the expected Zeta, but apparently said Zeta was still in the shop after being dismantled by JSA forces the previous week. Instead I was to be confronted with a dual Gamma list. I won the initiative with a crit, which set the tone for the rest of the game. I elected to deploy second, allowing me to deploy in reaction to is setup. He deployed the Feuerbach Gamma high in an overwatch position, with support pieces all around. Andromeda tried to infiltrate but was unable to see through the sensor havoc created by the Biotechvore.
I deployed with a Tarlok fireteam looking square at the Gamma, 4 weapons able to reach across the table and hurt the Gamma if he but twitched. On the right flank i deployed a harris lead by Kornak, a Yaogat Spitfire, and a Kaitok Chain Rifler. A Daturazi hung back near them, with Ikadrons and Dr Worm hovering nearby.

The Epsilon HMG took aim at the Suryat and the Kaitok Feurerbach, and was shocked to see they were aiming back. With the loss of the Epsilon, the Gamma HMG, free to act, moved up as part of a coordinated order. In a burst of gunfire he took down the K1 Sniper Vanguard, leaving the link at only four Morats. The Gamma moved up again to take on the weakened fireteam, but did not count on the rage of the Kaitok Feurerbach who, maddened by the loss of his friend, rolled critical hits on two consecutive orders, dropping the Gamma to NWI. The O12 Doctor used a medkit and restored the Gamma to one wound, which he immediately lost challenging the fearsome Kaitok.

The Morat turn started with the Daturazi running forward then laterally, depositing smoke on the Feuerbach Kaitok. The Harris then activated, moving forward out of line of sight, but Kornak did not follow instead moving over to join the diminished fireteam. He then jointed the team, and the now-five morat team began the hunt. It started out with movement by the whole team, leaving some exposed out of smoke. These easier targets drew fire from the two Gammas, who then received unopposed shots from the Feuerbach Kaitok whose MSV1 let him see through the smoke. This took out the HMG Gamma and put two wounds on the Feuerbach Gamma. The Suryat took a wound, and the Dartok went unconcious. Seeing an unconcious Morat made the Medchanoid spring into action, quickly reviving the fallen hacker (and earning a classified). Back at full strength, the Morat gang marched up field, spraying everything in their way with firepower. Not to be outdone, the Kaitok Chain Rifle in the now two-morat Harris ran up the stairs on the building at midfield and launched a flammenspeer at the back of the O12 doctor high on the midfield building. The doctor and REMracer never saw it coming Saladin was unharmed but shaken. In moments his command had disintegrated before his eyes, evaporating like morning dew under hot desert sun.

At the start of the second turn, only Saladin and a Crusher were left. The Crusher tried to set up for ARO, but was gunned down. Saladin hid while the third Kaitok advanced on the HVT and earned a classified, then stalked up to the disconnected Sirus bot, destroying it past the point of earning a classified, before finally settling on the disconnected yudbot. He punched it unconcious, then performed a coup de gras to earn the last classified.

The commanding voice rang out over the eerie quiet, as tendrils of biotoxic fog rolled amongst the buildings. “Human! The one they call Saladin! You can come down from your nest. Your forces have lost, your minions are crushed. But I, Kornak Gazarot, am not without Mercy!”
Laughs from the Tarlok gave lie to this last line but a wave of the hand from the leader silenced them.
“Indeed I make you this offer. Your forces crumbled too easily, and my Tarlok’s bloodlust is not yet sated. We need a hunt, and we need a worthy prey. So I will allow you to run, Human, and if you escape us you may have your life. Or what is left of it when the fog is through with you.”
I know you can hear me, and you now know the terms of this game. So there is but one thing left for you to do,” Kornak shouted.
“RUN”

Post-game recap: My secret plan worked. My Rasyats snuck in before the game and replaced Xardians dice with Speculo Dice which thoroughly betrayed him. Meanwhile mine were drunk on Bananajuice and rolled a crazy amount of crits.
His list wanted to forward deploy but Biotechvore was not having it, that really messed up his deployment. We discussed a few ideas to tweak his list after the game, but ultimately my monkee were happier with the deployment situation than his space cops.

Xardian has a habit of rolling continuous damage until he passes - regardless of wound count.
