Being a tactical genius Hannibal outsmarted the evil AI and won the Lt role. ForCo opted to take the second turn to help with scoring. Unfortunately, Hannibal forgot how strategic deployment worked and only Valkyrie managed to pass her confused deployment roll.

Turn 1:
Symbiocuirass: The Deva, Danavas, 1 pupnik, the Bolt KHD and Valkyrie all decided to pick up a pokemon giving them +2 armour and -1PH.

The Arjuna and both bots calmly entered the panic room and deployed cybermines to discourage Laxmee and the Bolt KHD from coming inside, they were then joined by the Devabot. The TR bot took up a position to take some shots at the Uberfall if they decided to use their impetuous order while the Danavas fired a pitcher into the panic room and the Yadu threw a dropbear out to cover a side entrance.

The Uberfall cancelled their impetuous order and advanced a little further forward, getting ready to enter the panic room in a later turn. The fireteam moved up with the Bolt spitfire clearing the dropbear and all the bots inside the panic room. As an elite bodyguard Valkyrie knew that she needed to be the first person in the room to make sure it was safe for Hannibal and took up position behind some crates with her shotgun ready to blast anything that moves but took a spotlight in the process. The Bolt spitfire wasn’t quite done yet and used the side entrance to gun down the Arjuna who failed his dodge roll.

Turn 2
The Yadu, another pupnik and Hannibal collected their pokemon of choice after failing the symbiocuirass roll.

The Yadu moved to the corner of the building and tried to take out the Bolt KHD who was peaking out but only took a wound for her trouble. Sensing an opportunity the Proxy Mk5 moved into the room and forced the Bolt spitfire to guts out of the room, this allowed the injured Yadu and Danavas to move in as part of coordinated orders. Laxmee taking great pride in taunting Aleph managed to spotlight the Danavas as it took up position and then isolated it as the 3 troopers entered a suppressive state. With the final orders the TR bot parked itself in the central doorway.

Our favourite furries moved up the flank getting ready to charge inside but before they could Valkyrie realised that space was at a bit of a premium inside due to the smouldering bot wreckages and mines. With that in mind she lobbed a grenade over the crates killing both TR bot and Danavas, the blast also hit the Yadu who refused to dodge and passed her armour save as did the repeater. The Chimera was unable to restrain the Pupniks anymore who ran into the room with 2 of them ganging up on the Proxy. The overeager Pupniks then failed to hit the Proxy who dodged out of combat, the next order saw them rip it to shreds though. After a bit of climbing crates to avoid the blocking cybermine a Pupnik was finally able to get into combat with the Yadu and finish her off. Valkyrie moved forward to cover 2 doors and called out to the rest of the team so that Hannibal and the Bolt Spitfire could safely.

Turn 3
With the closest doorway littered with corpses and equipment OSS didn’t have enough orders to get anyone into the panic room but was able to murder a Pupnik. The ForCo turn saw Laxmee and the Bolt KHD bring up the rear and as all the VIP’s were now safe lockdown the room before they updated their social media profiles.

This is a really tough mission for OSS who really struggle to find units durable enough to hold the room. Uberfall are just disgusting and felt a little dirty at this level. On the plus side we both enjoyed playing 200 points for the first time and as this table is 32″x48″ we think we’ll be trying it out again 🙂
