Durgama Takeover

{Situation]
Qapu Khalqi detachment Halvah, reporting.

Assignment: security of the Alfutna Aerospace Facility.

We’ve been dispatched to investigate a perimeter breach, and found an Aleph Assault Sub Section combat group closing in on the storage facility, apparently trying to grab some of the medical supplies, earmarked for Waqf al-Badawi station in Alfutna.

We made best of our knowledge of the terrain, and deployed offensively:
Sergeant Luna in his Iguana on the right flank,
Scarface on the center left, in cover,
Cordelia on the center left, in building, ready to support her brother,
Ghulam fireteam (lt. Abbas, sgt. Demirci with a grenade launcher, cpl. Pose with panzerfaust, cpl. Tiryaki, unit’s medic), and Hafza cpl. Yavuz (HRL,camouflaged as a ghulam FO) on the first floor of the building,
Two al-Hawwa scouts center (petty officer Nacar, forward observer) and left flank (chief petty officer Simsek, hacker), in advanced positions.
As support group, we had:
Two Fanous REMs providing overwatch from the central building and a pile of containers on the right flank.
Two Yuan Yuan contractors on the left (Yang, this man came equipped with an ADHL) and right (Zhou, in heavy armor) flanks.

We were facing Atalanta, centrally perched on a rooftop, accompanied by a Lamedh REM on our right flank rooftop. These two had effectively most of the area under fire. Then, there was Achilles hiding behind the left building, with Acmon in tow. Rest of the enemy force was out of sight: Hector with two Dactyls in a fireteam, two Thorakitai paramedics (one in each building), and two Netrods in the rear.So, an elite ASS party.

We opened up aggressively, Iguana neutralizing Atalanta with a well-aimed burst of automatic fire – but the drone proved to be a much more resilient target, managing to withstand several bursts of fire.

Scarface rushed forward, trying to engage Achilles with his AP Spitfire, but to no result. Exchange of gunfire with the Lamedh was also inconclusive. Still, he managed to take a decent advanced position behind cover.

Cpl. Yavuz attempted to get Achilles with his HRL, but was wounded by return fire.

Yuan Yuan Yang advanced on the left flank, also attempting to neutralize Achilles, but both his ADHL projectiles went off-target, and he was wounded by return fire.

Yuan Yuan Zhou maneuvered on the right flank, improving his position a little.

Achilles has a fearsome reputation, and he had proven to us, why. While Scarface was able to brave several bursts of the man’s fire, he bought us only some time before he fell. Achilles – still towing Acmon behind him – advanced, damaged sgt.Luna’s Iguana in an intense long-range firefight, detected and wounded cpo Simsek, and completely wrecked our left-flank Fanous. However, as Acmon followed his leader, he got a lucky bullet from the Iguana, mortally wounding the Dactyl NCO.

Achilles maneuvered into position behind cover, blocking our sole remaining TAG. A Thorakitai appeared in the building on our left flank, covering over Acmon – who bled out and died before reaching the storage unit.

Almaduillah, cpl. Tiryaki saved our skin. She managed to revive cpl. Yavuz, who proceeded to blast the Lamedh REM and the Thorakitai paramedic. With no more enemy targets in sight, cpl. Tiryaki was able to revive C.P.O. Simsek via an accurate burst from her Medkit.

Sgt. Luna’s firefight with Achilles brought no conclusion.

P.O. Nacar advanced towards the left flank storage unit, but wasn’t able to reach it, as Achilles stood overwatch.

Yuan Yuan Zhou advanced on the right flank.

The Ghulam set up for defence, amassing all available heavy weaponry towards where Achilles was bound to get out of cover.

Achilles proceeded to wreck us, in the final outcome killing C.P.O. Simsek, wounding sgt. Demirci, cpl. Pose and cpl. Yavuz. However, he received a number of hits in return, with a final, lucky shot coming from sgt. Luna’s Iguana.

This effectively neutralized enemy offensive potential on our left flank, with only Hector on the right being able to act. Which he did, but our sole remaining Fanous REM managed to flash him with its ranging laser, and force him into cover.

Cpl. Tiryaki delivered us again, reviving cpl. Yavuz, then sgt. Demirci and cpl. Pose. The team set up for defense again, covering the corner which hid Hector.

P.O. Nacar made it to the left-flank storage unit and managed to secure a box of badly needed medical supplies. He then withdrew under the cover of the Fireteam’s blockhouse.
He made a wise decision of prioritizing this over an attempt to identify a seemingly random civilian who appeared in the Area of Operations [OOC: Classified Objective]

Sgt. Luna and Yuan Yuan Zhou set up in blocking positions to deny the opponent any access to storage units on the right flank and in the center.

Hector tried to neutralize the fireteam. Got wounded by cpl. Yavuz’s HRL, but eventually managed to force the man from his combat position. He then wounded both sgt. Demirci and cpl. Pose.
Hector then proceeded to try fighting sgt. Luna, but got wounded again, and also blinded by the Fanous REM.

With their Lt barely standing on his feet, and just three other troops still operational (not counting the Netrods), Aleph force decided to withdraw.

[Results]
We have managed to secure one supply package, and deny any to the enemy [4 VP to Haqq, 0 to Aleph. Note: I skipped over Classified Objectives, as none was attempted, therefore they were of no consequence].

We have successfully stopped an Aleph incursion into Haqqislamite territory, and we have POWs to prove it: heavily wounded Atalanta and Achilles himself. Could somebody, pretty please, explain to me why they tried to steal our medical supplies…?

Sgt. Demirci, cpl. Pose and contractor Yang are expected to make a full recovery in the base’s hospital.
We have retrieved C.P.O. Simsek’s Cube, he needs to be scheduled for resleeving.
We need to get a new Ramhorn TAG for Scarface somehow. I mean it, this sister of his is bitching at me to no end!
Also, Zhou has nicked Atalanta’s multisniper. I mean I haven’t caught his hand, but the gun isn’t around, and the man is smling like a cat that ate a canary. I know that Yuan Yuan scum all too well. I guess we’ll have to accept the fact and move on.
