Commander Desanges stood over the observation deck of the Nomad vessel 'For My Sins' which was part of the Nomad flotilla supporting Corregidor over the Concilium theater. "You're telling me that I'm expected to host a training day while everyone else is engaged in one of the most important battles of the Human Sphere?"
Desanges' adjutant adjusted their glasses. "There really is no one else, and it's someone you're familiar with on the Haqqislam side."
"Don't remind me," Desanges seethed, muttering something about attempted P-0NY theft. "I bet they're still punishing me for the Japanese Bottom incident. It was a bachelor party! What did High Command expect? That the men -not- get drunk and cause an international incident? The Tohaa survivors were at the wedding right after and I hear one of them even joined the Nomad polycule. I still get cards every Christmas." Desanges sighed. "Well, if we have to do this, then let's do this. How much paintballs did we need again?"

The Nahab entered the combat zone. They checked the paint on their Red Fury. Sure this was just an exercise but he wanted to show that he was at the top of his game. He rounded the corner, and his eyes widened as he found himself face to face with the infamous Nomad Jaguars and a Mobile Brigada. The Jaguars grinned, raised weapons and the poor Nahab was splattered.
"They've got a fire team," the Nahab managed to shout before the comms was filled with the sound of wet paint making contact. Yara Haddad cursed and broke cover. She too found herself within the sights of the Jaguars who were gleefully filling the air with rockets filled with paint. A lot of paint had been ordered for this exercise and they were intent on using it.
"Watch out, Sav," Brian called out, but it was too late. The hapless Moran took paintballs to the back from a Hunzakut but was quickly avenged by Brian's Panzerfaust. His victory was short-lived however, as a Namurr manages to take him out.
End of Top 1
A Nahab, Yara Haddad, and Hunzakut killed by Jaguar AROs.
A Moran and a Jaguar are taken out on the Nomad side.
Motley grinned behind his Mobile Brigada armor. He was in overall command and therefore could afford to sit pretty with the Fireteam Core that was providing him escort. "100 says Renaissance flubs this again," he said casually. Smear was infamous for being hit or miss in his landings. "You're on," Ravager replied.
They watched as the Hellcat careened into his landing zone, only to have a lucky shot from a Daylami Panzerfaust ping him. Ravager winced, more for the loss of his hundred than the painful faceplant Smear took upon getting hit. "Dammit, Ren. Guess it's up to us, as usual," Ravager said, as he set out a call and rushed out of cover with the rest of the team, clearing out the Daylami covering the western flank.
The TAG was next. Alley Cat spun up her military grade paintball gun and proceeded to go on the offensive.
End of Bottom 1
Western flank is cleared allowing Jazz to take out the opfor hacker.
Gator and Zond taken down by missile AROs.
"I'm moving up on the HVT," Jazz murmured. She had cover from the Jaguars only to find that it wasn't enough, as disciplined fire from a Mukhtar managed to take her and her escort down in a flurry of paint.
"They brought a what now!?" Motley said, as Acid reported that the Haqqislam doctor was taking a power hose to one of the Nomad kills to bring them back into the exercise. "Huh, I wish we thought of that."
End of Top 2
Jazz and her Jaguar bodyguard are taken down.
Ghulam Doctor revives the Namurr.
Shujae Operative manages to roll for panoply.
"Join the CJC they said. See the Human Sphere, they said. Get caught in an altercation in the Japanese Bottom and get put in shit jobs for the rest of your career, they said," Acid groused. The exercise grounds were awash in paint. Apparently the commanders, annoyed with their lot, had maliciously complied by ordering A LOT of paint. He didn't really relish the idea of getting hit, but he figured he could at least get some revenge along the way. Plus he had some surprises up his sleeve in the form of lots and lots of paint-filled hug demo--koalas.
End of Bottom 2
Moran goes the long way round and catches the Mukhtar flatfooted.
Wildcat attempts to revive the fallen Zond but gets caught by the Ghulam Doctor.
The Daylami was at the top of the world. He was definitely getting a commendation for all the work he'd done, even if it was just a training exercise meant to...keep the Haqqislam and Nomad problem commanders busy. But no, he had to be positive. He had to believe! He had to take out that Moran that was sneaking up on him! He fired wildly, managing to catch Acid with paint missiles. The Moran was smiling though as he fell. His approach had hidden the two paint-filled koalas who then launched themselves at the poor Daylami before exploding in a veritable deluge of paint.
End of Top 3
Daylami takes out the Moran but gets taken out by koalas.
Shujae manages to fulfill an objective using the fallen Moran to perform an In Extremis Recovery.
Motley was annoyed. He had been coordinating and missing out on all the fun. No more! Now was the time for him to go out there and do what he was always meant to do--go on a paintball rampage. He readied his paintball flamethrower and charged out, catching the Shujae by surprise before turning to make a last ditch attempt on the Ghulam Doctor and Namurr. He manages to splatter the doctor but the Namurr dodges and the whistle calls the end of the exercise before he can reacquire his aim.
End of Bottom 3
Brigada rushes forward and manages to take out the Shujae with his light flamethrower, taking one wound in the process. Attempts to kill the Ghulam Doctor and Namurr but the Namurr manages the dodge.

~Notes~
This was our first game of the year and the first game in about a year which kind of showed. I don't feel like I made a lot of misplays other than perhaps running too loose with Jazz's positioning in an attempt to get her into position to do some classifieds on the HVT but I kept missing LoS avenues for enemies on some movements that cost me the Hellcat and Wildcat. To be fair they were really small slivers that were hard to catch but it was still my bad for not really making sure. I was also probably too aggressive with the Gator but the Daylami was really lucky, managing to get hits in on the ARO despite weight of fire being against his favor. That's RNG for you.
I also messed up with last minute changes. Forgot the Chain Rifle Jaguars cost less points which led me to having a 297 point list instead of the full 300. Having the extra points might have made a difference in the final score, though if it were put in things that died it might have also just have gone against my favor. Still, it was 3 points that could have been put to nicer upgrades so should be more aware of that.
Still, glad to be able to get games again and hoping for a second go 'round before the campaign ends. Sadly, can't do F2F games yet with COVID still an issue, but it is what it is.
Good report and good pictures.
I like your logo! haha
We are so so very excited to announce our next army box; Operation: YOLO

Haha, love the fluff on your reports as usual. Hopefully, we get a return engagement next week.
