“Counselor” holoscrean shined the room with a cold blue light and she hated it. “The uplink will be ready in a minute.”
“Thank you Said, i could you keep it open for some time? I will need to do some improvements to the text, it may take some time.”
“As long as you need Counselor.”
“Thank you Said…”
Cold screen blinked and turned off and the counselor of Ministry of Interstellar Affairs of the Republic Amina Amirkhan returned to the papers. O-12 message of the creation of ICAF. They could have at the very least call it a manifesto, but this word has a very strong sense of Bakunin’s Sunset Boulevard.
“I walk a lonely road, the only road of I have ever known…” She muttered with a smile remembering her great grandfather’s music collection. Her grandmother spend a lot of time there looking at pictures of old or little Amina dancing, drawing or writing. It was time to write again another letter worth of a good career. It was done in 15 minutes. She looked upon the text, she read it in her mind, then she stood up, rolled her chair and put her knee on it as her great grandfather did and as his daughter did. One more sip of a Tatar green tea that smelled like a green meadow.
She looked upon her text again and quietly quoted another song from her great grandfather’s collection “the blood of the martyrs will water the meadows of France!”

On the contrary to many other, a sector BR3NN1K of the port battery of Raveneye was not battle scarred, it changed 5 minutes ago. A blue assault pod with clinged to the station, demolition charges breached the hull and black crossed poured inside, spread thin across the sector and pushed forward. Ten minutes later first shots were made.
Lieutenant Lia Amirkhan quickly checked all of the streams of information available to her:
Faous remotes were down…
Glowing crescent surrounded by a sign “Medical assistance is required” pointed out that PFC Timur Akmaev was in a critical condition.
Azat Mikhdyaev was cut short.
Apparently Carmen was down.
Preliminary scans pointed out movements of the enemy, they were pushing and it was hard.
She opened a voice channel with special agent Anna and her hunting group of mukhtars, but before lieutenant was able to say anything she heard a low voice of a Namur. “We have a guest from Jerusalem, we are a little busy…”
“Ok…” Lia said to herself establishing open connection between her and others. “Time for plan B. Mintimer, readings and signatures show that there is an enemy on the right from you 3 o’clock, do you see him?” 5 seconds later a loud roar of the machinegun sounded in her headset followed by a remarkably calm and peacefull voice “Done.” She checked the readings again. “The other one is on the left, 11 o’clock.” Another roar the same calm voice “Done. Damn! My visor is hit, need to reboot it.” Lia made a quick and deep breath. “Ok, Fatima, there is one on 12 o’clock could you deal with him?” “Aye” 2nd zhaedan’s voice was much more joyous. “He is jumping around like a rabbit… i have barely scratched him!” Apparently Fatima Al’Zahravi loved her missile launcher and she loved to use it… “He is jumping around like a rabbit… i have barely scratched him!”
Lia breathed in again changing channels. “Mukhtars status report! Anna?”

Special agent of Namur Experimental Group Anna rushed through her floor to a hatch, there was a giant knight with a giant sword and this sword was piercing her friend’s shoulder. The blood was running down like a red spring, it was miracle that he was able to hold it off. She didn’t waste a moment and leaped forward putting demolition charges all over the Knight of Holy Sepulcher and immediately exploding them.
“To Kingdom come… This is Anna, reporting.. We are…” She looked upon Mustafa, he moved his shoulder changing his flexibility. “Fine…ish…”
“Good, remain in position. You will be needed soon.”

“Fellow senators, all of us had recently received and read a decree that created an “International Concilium Assistance Force”, an “Alliance” that according to authors of this document is going “to defend the Sphere as the whole”. For it is a truly noble cause one can fight for, it seems to me obvious that it is merely a decoration that must sweet the pill of a stunning imperialism and absolute disrespect towards other nations that have committed all their resources to fight for the Human Sphere regardless of its flags and affinities.”
Lia Amirkhan took a cup with tea and made a sip. Her imagination pictured a large hall of the Oberhaus before her.
“The very first passage of the decree accuses our four nations in violating the boundaries of Concilium and our status of both guests of the planet and members of the O-12. It saddens me that our attempt to help in an hour of need has been met with such paranoid suspicion that borders with an open insult. When your house is visited by your friends and suddenly a fire starts, will you thank your friends for help in extinguishing it our ask them if they did it to rob you? We have been accused of employing criminals and space pirates in our ranks, but where the arrogant sees the scum, I see people in seek of redemption. This Sphere is home for many and apparently even the vilest understands the danger that looming over us and the need of help. The thirsty one in a desert lacks the luxury to choose the hand that gives him water.”
It was harder then she expected…

The firefight between teutonic knight and Fatima of Zhaedans lasted for almost 3 minutes, but eventually quantity prevailed over quality and she fell with shot in a chest. Farida Malik, the second surgeon of the group rushed on the upper floor ignoring the heavy stomp of the second knight walking up the stairs closer and closer to the room where she was hiding. But this heavy steps were not ignored by a sergeant and the lieutenant. The prior readied his rifle aiming for the door and the latter opened communication line with Namur Anna “We have a guest with anger issues, we need a help with him!” Anna wished to reply but all of a sudden a heavy hit landed on her breast plate she noticed a blink of an optic scope on the far side of the sector and crawled away from sniper’s sight. She caught a node of Yasmina of Mukhtars who was deep in cybertronic realm and still found time to send her comrade to help others.
Namur dashed to the back line readying her rifle, the first burst was a total miss due to speed and inability to aim properly and night simply dodged away, but the second burst hit him right between the armured plates and his unconscious body fell right before the sergeant. A seconds later low roar of the machinegun cut the last teuton to pieces as Farida patched her comrades up.
Crossiers started to pull back to the assault pod, they were retreating in good order, all of them but one brave soul fighting in a desperate firefight with Fatima of Zhaedans whose temper even made her scream “Why don’t you die damn you?” as the crosier was getting closer and closer showering her position with bullets. At this moment, to lift a pressure Ali of mukhtars rushed forward and shot the noble soul, only to be shot in return by a sniper. His cold body was on the ground and his killers were on their way to their assault pod.
“All of that happened so quickly…” The lieutenant was looking at corpses of both friends and foes while holding two cubes of her fallen comrades. “Could I… Could I…”
“Permission to speak freely lieutenant?” That calming voice belonged to a man in his late 40’s silver hairs, beard, one eye, how can someone with one eye shoot so precise? Fatima’s skin was as black as night with gorgeous and happy smile, both zhaedans were de-jure lower in rank, de-facto much more experienced now both of them were here to make an assesment of her commanding skills. “Talking to yourself huh? Thats fine, but don’t do it to often though…”
“I was just thinking if I did something wrong…”
“Nah… you mostly didn’t…” Fatima used her missle launcher on the ground looking somwhere far away. “Well mostly you did well, very well actually. we have seen worse… And your question… it is fine to have it, all those who give orders have them. This resposibility is a part of your job now.”
“I haven’t seen it in Job description…”
“Imagine how little officers we will have if they put it there…” Machingunner smiled. “You did well, not bad for a first day on the job huh?”
They put on their helmets and returned to the others.
“First day on the job…” Lieutenant Lia Amirkhan but her mask back, opened the channel. “Command has a new assignment pack your things, we move out in 10!”

“The demands of ICAF are not outrages, they are ridiculous in their nature. They claim that “this alliance will strive to concentrate the effort on the only real enemy: Combined Army” yet the onslaugh of Morat Agression Force is being halted only by brave souls of Nomads, Haqqislamite, Yu Jingese and Toha. They asks in imperative to cease all hostility against troopers of ICAF, yet every day the number of our soldiers killed and wounded by panoceanian, ariadnian and O-12 hand is rising. They want our nomads to surrender control over Raveneye weapons systems to Ariadnian troops, it is the same as to demand a doctor to let a butcher to perform a heart surgery. They demanded withdrawal of Yu-Jing forces presented at Camiliard, yet panoceanian troops entered the zone and started the fight even before the StateEmpire gave its answer.”
Counselor stoped for five seconds making a deep breath before the end.
“I tend to agree with ICAF. I hope for returning of reason. I agree that united we stand, divided we fall. But this abomination, they call diplomacy, doesn’t heal wounds, it opens them so they start to bleed again. Dear members of International Concilium Assistance Force if you are not willing to help us, then please don’t interfere in our efforts to prevent the worst to come.”
Counselor Amina Timerkhan made a deep breath, then another one, then another… A minute later she was sitting in her chair reading the text again. She wouldn’t even notice the hooded figure if he wouldn’t start clapping. This armor and hood looked familiar. She remembered it from pictures of many actions that were… complicated at least… This man, who for some reason didn’t hide his face behind the skull-like mask, yet the gun in the holster reminded that men like were not to be triffled with.
“Are you here to stop me?” She put her speach on the table and locked her hands on it.
“No, actually i liked it.” He came silently to her desk and took a sit a front of her. Something familiar was in his face and in his eyes… “Actually I enjoy your way of ruining your career, 20 years as a counselor to ambassador is impressive.”
“Well I am glad that my life and my choices are such a good spectacle for you, but please skip this charade, shall we? tell me why are you here?”
” Aw this one is not a short story and if I am going to tell it to you, we will need another cup for a tea…”
