Durgama Takeover

*Disclaimer: This battle was a reintroduction to my buddy who got in but took an extended hiatus to work on some other projects for a while. Since this was a teaching and relearning game, we took things easy and focused on the basics of the game first!

Near Raveneye Orbital Complex over Concilium Prima

It had been only a few hours since the call from Tunguska had come down to bring in as many forces as could be spared to assist in the defense of Concilium Prima and it was a situation that Elisavetta had honestly not expected to find herself, her comrades, or her company to be in. The greater affairs of the Human Sphere had never been of her concern, especially taking into consideration that most of humanity’s superpowers deemed the Nomad people more of a necessary evil and a nuisance over a contributing culture to human society. Granted, with all that being said, the Combined Army and it’s Evolved Intelligence posed a unique threat to the security of the Sphere that unironically unified humanity in a way she had never expected to see in her lifetime.

All this talk of a greater good or defending humanity’s very existence, though, didn’t matter all too much to the Captain or her crew when everything was said and done, of course. The payment for being here was hard to pass up — simple as that.

The initial fighting on the ground and aboard the station had already begun by the time the Neb had arrived and for the moment it appeared that the Nomad Nation had secure control of the station’s port battery ammunitions and supplies. It would make for a perfect theater to get the fresh blood some experience. In anticipation of the fighting, Elisavetta had hired on some new recruits and it was time to get their feet wet.

“Rogue!” The Captain called out from her place in the Neb’s CIC, “You’ve got those simunition rounds and training rifles ready?”

Heavy, clunking metallic steps responded. In came Alexa Holland, a disavowed Varuna ORC Trooper who had found herself swept up with the Nomads. In her re-painted ORC armor, she was quite the imposing figure and when she came to a halt next to Elisavetta, her helmet opened to reveal her face. She tossed the Captain one of the rifles, “Yep. We’re good to go. Just need to get everyone aboard the shuttle and we should be good.”

“You packed the real stuff too, just in case right?” Elisavetta handled the rifle for a moment, aimed down its sights and checked the simunition that had been loaded into the magazine.

“Of course. If this EI bastards decide to drop in on the party, we’ll give ’em hell. Daria and Bob will be there too and we’ll whip everyone in line if we have to.” The PanOceanian responded with confidence.

“Good. Let’s get these new bloods on the battlefield.”
