The Invincible Army force's deployment, by contrast, showed the confidence of their command in their scout's ability. One flank of the army was overwatched by a total reaction remote with heavy machine gun, with a Zhanshi squad including missile launcher on the aftcastle of a nearby ship. Both had superb lines of fire, and a Mech-Engineer was nearby to repair the remote should anything happen. In front of them, waiting to attack the AC/2, was a heavy Guijia unit. The other flank was anchored on a mixed squad of a Shang JI with rocket launcher, Krit Kokram, and a Hulang with E/M grenades.

The battle started simply enough. The Guijia advanced rapidly to a loading gantry above the dock and jumped on top of it, firing at the Fugazi as it did so. The Fugazi took a hit, but the bot's armor was proof against the MULTI rounds in the machine gun. Walking forward and laying down fire, the Guijia expended a large amount of effort to dislodge a mere remote, eventually knocking it offline. The Guijia then looted a panoply and moved forward to exchange fire with the Warcor for some time, also knocking the Warcor out. Thankfully, the rounds used were only AP and not shock, and there was a PanOceanian paramedic nearby. It then reinforced its armor before moving forward to look down at the PanOceanian deployment zone in suppressive fire in clear view.

On the other flank, the Shang Ji urged his team forward and they also moved up to the gantry and got ready to loot a panoply.

De Ferzen faced a difficult proposition. The Guijia's armor at this point was nearly invulnerable to small arms fire. Guijia are vulnerable to hacking, but there was no way to move any of his remotes' repeaters within range of the thing without being attacked by the Zhanshi's missile launcher or the total reaction remote. The Teutonic Knight attached to De Ferzen's squad carried panzerfausts, though, and those had a reasonable chance to force the enemy TAG to shift. And De Ferzen judged that the Teuton was far enough away from the Guijia to avoid its suppression. With his squad spread out, De Ferzen ordered them to close together, so that the Crozier paramedic could use his Medikit on the Warcor while the Teuton engaged the Guijia. The Guijia fired a short burst of explosive MULTI ammo at the Teuton, who failed to dodge these shots as his armor locked up, and he was knocked unconscious.

Now that the Guijia was out of suppressive fire, De Ferzen attempted to have his Bulleteer move up to get its repeater in range of the Guijia, but the Bulleteer was roasted by the TAG's heavy flamethrower. A nearby Peacemaker attempting to do the same was blown to bits by the Zhanshi's missile launcher after it, too, failed to dodge and was struck by two missiles.

Out of options to deal with the TAG, De Ferzen ordered his Seraph to move up and engaged the Shang Ji. Perhaps Yu Jing's attention could be directed to their other flank. Armed only with short range weaponry, however, the Seraph failed to inflict any damage to the Shang Ji and was damaged by an explosive MULTI round from the Guijia. Pushing forward, the Seraph managed to down the Shang Ji, but another MULTI round impacted the TAG and it was disabled.

Cursing again, De Ferzen ordered the nearby paramedic to Medikit the Teuton. Groggily coming to his feet, the Teuton was immediately rejoined De Ferzen's command link and opened fire on the Guijia with his panzerfaust. One shot missed completely, and the other was destroyed by the Guijia's point defense system.

With all threats removed, the Yu Jing commander had Krit Kokram leisurely loot some additional armor from the nearby panoply. Not bothering to deal a knockout blow to the nearby Seraph, the rest of the Invincible Army's attention was spent moving the Guijia down to gain a commanding view of the AC/2. The Guijia sprayed shots across the battlefield, rightly confident in its invincibility. Firing shots at the Warcor, our Order Sergeant with rocket launcher, our engineer, and hacker simultaneously, it walked down the stairs utterly untouched as it disabled further PanOceanian troops.

With three quarters of the battlefield completely clear of PanOceanian presence, and what remained unable to prevent the Guijia from destroying our AC/2 or even to damage it, the Military Orders forces withdrew.
