Durgama Takeover

Adding something more in the morning.

The short version is that Imp1 is ROUGH. Fiyad shotgunned my Lieutenant on turn one with an ARO. Thank goodness that Kempeitai survived and basically saves JSA teams in exactly this situation.

A second Fiyad hung out and pinned down a Ryuken-9 HRL that I was planning to sweep the board with.

The “Major” Ryuken went into Cyber mask and moved in. Two Delami attempted to Discover. One successful and she was unmasked. Her armor was able to tank a shotgun blast to the face though and she moved out of LOS as quickly as possible (but not far enough). With my primary Hacker pinned down, I began to work on trying to free her up. With positioning, there wasn’t much I could do. Though I had Saito sitting ‘right there’, his value would be in launching a surprise attack when a fireteam on the building (out of frame, and across the bridge) would eventually converge on the spot.

The Ryuken was able to ping the Fire Team Leader on the next turn, breaking them. As they reformed, they moved around the buildings on my left flank. This was a beautiful play that lead to “Oni-wambam.jpg”

The Ryuken-9 was eventually taken down though and that transitioned the responsibility for most of the classifieds to a still hidden ninja hacker on my right flank (outside of effective range of the HVT).

The Haqq onslaught eventually left me with only shinobi present on the table. They were not in optimal positions to complete the classifieds necessary, though 4 of the 5 did survive. Shinobu was able to contribute as an Elite for an event and Saito presented such a CC roadblock that it stymied a significant portion of the Haqq advance. (see “Saito Crushing It”) Unfortunately, he was eventually taken down in CC and that resulted, ironically, in Haqq securing another classified objective.

A lot of lessons to learn here, and this will be updated with a few more details and a better perspective like my first report.
