VS Ariadna
Grim254

Alessandro viewed the reports in horror as they flashed across his visor. The Combined Army had made repeated, successful assaults on the Raveneye Bow Section and PanO’s current hold on the station was questionable. His current vendetta on the Ariadna forces that had decimated his crew was going to have to be put on hold against what was clearly a greater threat. Alessandro thankfully came across a skilled Mechanic who had recently repaired a Cutter and a smattering of Dronbots who themselves were on their way to defend the Sensoring Module. Assuming command, Alessandro led his new team, intending to quickly upload the Ariadnan war crimes to Mayanet through a nearby Antenna and continue on to push back the Combined. Suddenly, multiple enemy signatures flashed on his Multi-Spectrum Visor. Two Combined operatives stood in the way between them and the Antenna, but a stronger force appeared behind them, seemingly with the intent to finish the job they started…

Ariadna wins the initiative and chooses the red side of the board. Both forces deploy in aggressive positions, leaving multiple units cloaked in camo. Neither force wants the other to reach the Antenna Module in the center of the board.

Ariadna Turn 1
Ariadna spends their orders sending their Bearpode, apparently named Ivan, to once again decimate the PanO forces. The Bearpode makes a successful template attack against multiple Dronbots, but Shona Corano was able to dodge closer into the Bear to goad him into CC combat. The bear takes the bait and after a few unfortunate rolls, Shona was wiping the blood off her sword ready to face the next threat.

PanO Turn 1
Oktavia and the Locust took positions to eliminate the Shasvatti in the way of the Antenna. Once they were neutralized, the Cutter opened fire upon the Komsosodalt and went back into camouflage.

Arianda Turn 2
Despite being dismayed by losing the Bearpode, a Volkite moved forward in an attempt “deactivate” the antenna. He was quickly shot down by the Cutter, but not before taking out Oktavia.

PanO Turn 2
The Machinist sends a Pathfinder Dronbot up the board to begin the upload on the Antenna. The Pathfinder successfully began the upload but was quickly taken down by enemy fire. Aquila Alessandro and the machinist move forward to finish the upload next turn.

Ariadna Turn 3
A Veteran Kazak moved into position to take out as many PanO operatives as possible. This upload could not be allowed to finish. Aquila Alessandro and the Machinist both fell to the enemy fire. The Uknown Ranger moved forward in an attempt to disable the Antenna but the Cutter mowed him down. In a latch ditch effort, a SCOT moved forward into the Antenna but failed his roll, unable to do anything to the Antenna

PanO Turn 3
The Cutter and the Locust both moved forward to finish the upload. While the Cutter failed the roll, the Locust auto passed being a specialist. PanO wins the game by 1 point.

The sound of the Locust typing is drowned out by the Cutter’s suppressive fire while the Ariadnian forces desperately attempt to make their advances. “It’s sent! The Ariadnian atrocities have been uploaded to Mayanet.” Knowing the Antenna was no longer needed, the Locust and Cutter both move back to defend the wounded from what they assumed would be another assault of Ariadna forces. To their surprise, they heard the call to retreat instead of the sound of gunfire. Confused but relieved, the Locust radios in for medical assistance…

Upload Evidence

This is the second game we’ve uploaded for CodeOne. Since we cannot play the full N4 custom rules, I mentioned before we are utilizing a 20x20 game system we found online to supplement. I’ll include the mission and the variable introduced into the mission below.

Upload Evidence The troopers of both armies have both witnessed war crimes committed by the enemy. They want to upload footage of the atrocities to Mayanet to raise awareness. The only method is a transmission antenna situated in the middle of the battlefield. Setup: Before the Initiative Roll, place an Objective Marker in the centre of the Game Board. This Objective Marker is the transmission antenna. Alternatively, players may use a suitable model. Exclusion Zone: During the Deployment Phase, no model or marker may be deployed within 6“ of the centre of the board. Uploading evidence: Any trooper in Silhouette Contact with the transmition antenna (OM) may spend a short skill to try to upload evidence. A WIP roll must be passed to do so effectively. For troopers with the Specialist Operative, Hacker or Engineer skill the WIP roll is considered to be passed automatically. Failed rolls may be repeated by spending another Short Skill. Every trooper may only upload evidence once per game. Victory Conditions: 2 OP is scored if the Lieutenant uploads evidence. This reveals the Lieutenant. 1 OP is scored for every trooper that uploads evidence. Remember that the maximum Objective Points that can be scored in a game is 10.

Mercenaries: Before the Initiative Roll, both players roll off to each place an S2 model within 2“ of the Central Line. Both troopers must be placed at least 6“ away from each other. These models represent neutral mercenaries with the Stat Line of a Fusilier, armed with a Combi Rifle and CCW. The mercenaries are additionally equipped with 360° visors. The mercenaries are enemy to both sides. The player who has the Reactive Turn decides on their ARO to the troopers of the player who has the Active Turn. AROs do not cause AROs.
