The SWF elements of the 60th Composite Regiment, currently on assignment to the Cameliard Research Facility, engaged in a training exercise with a force from the NeoTerran Capitoline Army. The purpose of the exercise was to assess tactics and force composition in case of attack from unfriendly powers. The SWF force was composed of twin Haris support teams, one from the Vargar Maximum Security Team, the other from the Karhu Special Group. Supporting them were assets from the Nøkken Special Intervention and Recon Team and the Inner Hexahedron’s Locust Clandestine Action Team. The OpFor for the exercise consisted of a crack fireteam of Bolts, supported by a Black Friar Hound of God, as well as various REMs, including an ALEPH Garuda, a Peacemaker, and a Sierra. Two Auxilia were on hand to participate, and Capt. Sorensen made an appearance to put her SWF comrades through their paces.
SWF deployed first, and also went first. Skirmishers deployed close to the Armory, and when the game began moved up to open the doors. Unfortunately, that went poorly. The first Nøk fell to the Bolt MSR, and the second, while able to move up and open the door, soon fell as well. The Karhu fumbled all over themselves, and failed to really make a difference. The Engineer and Paramedic made it into the Armory, but that made scant difference. The Vargar were able to control enough of the board to drop the Black Friar HRL, as well as the Sierra TR REM, but that was the extent.
On the NCA turn, well, it went from bad to worse. The Garuda came on, caught the Fusi LT, and then the Vargar Combi/HFL succeeded in Dodging, but I got the facing wrong and left him for an Auxilia(!!!) to shoot him in the back. The Peacemaker and its Flaming Bot o’Death cleared out the troops I had in the Armory, and, well, that was it. I did *atrocious*.
Pano vs Pano is a good deal 🙂
I love the part where PanO won!
and nice battle report
awesome table
Great looking table and photos.
Im not surprised the WinterFor fell short, they have proven no match for my White Banner Troops on Svalarheima moving to Concilium Prima would not help them
(^-^)p Nice game, good luck for the next one.
Holy crabs batman, that table looks amazing! Is the terrain hand painted? The nmm on the bridges is brilliant.
The table is by one of our local players, who is also the organizer of the Krug Tournament taking place in a month.
What an amazing table!
It took me a minute to realize what SWF meant in this context, and for that minute, I thought I was reading a personal ad from the newspaper in the nineteen hundred and eighties.
Anyway, excellent report, Commander!
