The half-Japanese Hexahedron Agent, who had went by the alias Tanako Skyler ever since becoming a PanOceanian citizen after escaping Yu Jing, was surveying the jungles of Durgama. Posted to defend Cameliard from Yu Jing and Combined Army incursions, ALEPH had sent one of its detachments to test the perimeter. While not the most glorious of tasks, Tanako and his rugged Acontecimento veterans known as the Emerald Jungle Demons knew it was good to test for weak spots. Both sides had agreed to use dummy rounds for this exercise.

“Well, time to get this done.” Oh what Tanako would not get to have his revenge on some Yu Jing commander who was looking to die if they were so eager to have Cameliard’s secrets. And how eager he would make said Commander’s life a living hell before making them go through ‘true death’.

The Calm before the Storm

Seeing the OSS attachment approach and begin their operation, the squad of rugged Acontecimento Regulars deployed on the most central building with its sniper marksman keeping overwatch. In the right flank, the strike team consisting of an Acontecimento-regiment Machinist, Varuna-trained Orc and a Bulleteer the troops had lovingly called ‘Screaming Pitbull’ with Scylla covering their side.

Deployed forward was two Nagas- One with specialized Mines and the other being a Killer hacker to provide additional infowar defense if needed. On the right flank deployed up was a Peacemaker to be the point defense. In the rear a Clipper and Mulebot EVO hacker served as our support.

Round 1- The Test Begins

The OSS detachment had the initiative, which it used to push its Daikini strike team up after a small skirmish between Sniper marksman took out the Rudras. Once the Heavily-army Daikini pushed with support from the team, the sniper held as long as she could but she was eliminated. The doors soon open to the Cameliard Armory itself but the opposing force did not dedicate any reinforcements to hold it. We lost the live-feed to the Peacemaker, suggesting this team was using a hacker-based posthuman. Overall, the OSS detachment made a strong push but did not seem to capitalize on it.

Once the all-clear was given, Scylla had pushed into the post human, using her Devabot to strike it down before the strike team moved out. The Engineer managed to fix the Peacemaker’s feed and get it up and running again, before moving it up to strike at the enemy’s guided missile it had kept up in overwatch. Thankfully the Auxbot cleared the remote before it was damaged beyond repair. Then the Naga Killer hacker moved into the Cameliard Armory to secure it under the cover of its camoflauge. As set-up, Scylla had long bombed a pitcher close to the opposing forces supposed LT but could not call for the artillery strike yet.

So far, we were holding.

Round 2- Collapsing Mayhem

Unaware of the Naga Killer hacker that had secured the Armory, the OpFor’s Danavas landed a pitcher in the room to try and hack the Peacemaker again. However, we did manage to greet the Danavas with our surprise, which we had put out of commission for a time. Which meant the hired bounty hunter was made to deal with it, which had glued it in place. Unaware of the AHB sniper that was watching the lane, the Naga killer hacker was lucky to make its dodge and hide again. With the Daikini paramedic coming to resuscitate the Danavas, the Danavas managed to jam the comms of our Naga Killer hacker. Though, the OpFor did not again push to secure but had the team suppress any oncoming approach.

Once we were able to push again, Scylla had finally secured a targeting solution of the Shukra consultant, in which our Clipper called down a rain of Artillery and managed to take it out in no time. Though Isolated, the Naga Killer hacker managed to pull some items from the armory before its hacking system had rendered it useless for the rest of the test. Not long after, the other Naga finally came into action soon running up to lay a dummy Monofilament mine in front of the Danavas and one suppressing Daikini before he was out of action. Soon our strike team came in, cleaned up a majority of the OpFor’s army as hacking either the “Screaming Pitbull’ or the ORC Varuna Veteran would trigger the mine to fire. Eventually it came to be, with the Danavas holding strong but the Daikini went down. Though not long after, the Danavas had went out of action as well.

Realizing his forces were spent, the OSS Detachment Commander had called it and thanked him for the test.

Afterwards, the troops had prayed and then enjoyed a few rounds of drinks on the Hexahedron Agent.

—-Journal entry from Agent Tanako Skyler:

While I’ve never understood the adherent Christian faith prevalent in PanOceanian society, I have come to learn that it helps gives the troops a sense of ‘higher purpose’. That and I’ve learned faith and duty in something can make even the humble soldier fight on against insurmountable odds.

Though I fight because we might be at a crossroads where the young human race faces either extinction or subjugation to the Combined Army. And as much as I’ve suffered under the rule of the StateEmpire, I shudder at the fucking thought that there could be something worse than what Humanity is capable of now.

((OOC section: Thanks to my opponent for the game! Coming to playing Acontecimento after not playing them since Adepticon, I love a lot of the new options. Anyways, hope you enjoyed my basic but hopefully fun battle report!))
